Transformers... but that was when it was called a "cartoon" in the US. I saw part of Robotech as well. I like to say the first anime I saw is the one I recognized specifically as anime and that would be Eight Man After. First subtitled TV series I saw was Tenchi Muyo!

It's kind of hard to remember... but I think it might have been either Transformers or Sailormoon. I didn't really watch transformers much, but I do remember Sailormoon. My dad called Naruto 'octogonal eyed monster'. He called Kyuubi the 'super octogonal eyed monster'.

FMA (7th)

...Didn't say anything.

Bleach (8th)

Brother has named Bleach 'the laundry ditergent anime'.

My brother likes anime, don't get me wrong, he just doesn't like the Naruto fillers, and how they treat Kakashi (Kakashi is his favourite character).

My dad dispises anime with passion and dilligence. =/

Sailor Moon!!! XD apparently, i also used to watch all these anime by this one guy....ummms...well, i dont rmeber his name, but he made stuff like "The Little Bits" and "The Little Kola" but i dont remember them, my mom told me a watched them...ANYWAY yeah, i little 5-7 year old me thought tuxedo mask was hott

OHMYGOSH! my dad is so similar!!!

For Naruto:

when ever he see's me watching Naruto, he yells out either "naRUto!" or "CHAKRA POWER!" or my favorite: "Oh Sasuke, I've heard so much about you!" ((witch is what my gramma said when she met my uncle Chubby. "Oh Chubby! i've heard so much about you!")

For Inuyasha:

and i love how he constantly puts Inuyasha into anything he says. "hey, what are you being for halloween? INUYASHA?!" "hey, pass that INUYASHA katsup, will ya?"

For Poke'mon:

He always, ALWAYS yells things like "DISHWASHER! I CHOOSE YOU!!"

Sailor Moon:

he dances. i'm asuming he's reffering to the transformations, but you can never really be sure with that guy

:e omg!! Robotech!! That was sooo my brother and my fave anime when it was popular back in the good old days. And yes, i think it's the first anime I ever saw, but then I had a looong pause from anime. Caught up with anime again three-four years ago and got hooked immidiately

First dubbed show? Hello! Sandybell, I think. Maybe Candy Candy.

First dubbed show in English? Robotech, definitely. (well, possibly transformers, but I saw all of Robotech first at any rate).

First subbed show? Don't know, actually - I made a kazaa search for anime and watched everything as it finished downloading, then went back and continued on the ones I liked. NGE and Escaflowne were the first two I'm sure I completed...

My first anime was Speed Racer.

I was very young. Perhaps 5-7 years old. It had a profound effect on me. Very deep themes and plots.

Great bad guys.

My first anime would be ether Speed Racer or Sailor Moon. I can't remeber which was first I was too young and this was when Sailor Moon was on UPN on weekday mornigs and when Speed Racer was on the Cartoo Network

Robotech in early 90s was the first Anime I saw . I may have seen other earlier ( Speed Racer ) but Robotech was the first anime I identified as Anime and not a cartoon

My first anime as a child was Sailor Moon I think, I saw it on tv when I was 4 or 5 years old xD Of course I saw Dragon Ball too.

Some years later I saw Rurouni Kenshin on tv too, I was about 9-11 years old.

As an "official" otaku, my first anime was Evangelion, a little strange but I'm proud of it xD
