So Jake indeed had two powers. Possibly not quite as elegant an explanation as having a single versatile power, but in hindsight that's what misled the heroes into misreading his power(s).

It was hilarious to me how long it took Kotetsu to figure out Jake's power. It was obvious to me, (possibly because I watch too many cartoons and anime), when Sky High fought him that his power was mind reading...

Great episode, though. My heart broke when Bunny started to cry. The relationship between Wild Tiger and Bunny is really nice...

Loved the bit about Girl Power. "I'm sorry, is it because I'm a tomboy?". Hee.

Kinda want to reassure her that she's cute. And that she's got at least one fan, even if he's very young.

Yeah, that was my favorite moment of the ep, too. Amazing how much more of an old soul Blue Rose is, even though she and Dragon Kid are about the same age.

One thing I've been wondering about the last few episodes is the mayor. Is there some sort of subtext there? Basically a figurehead there to look good, give speeches, and read off the teleprompter but the real power lies in the people behind him. Wonder if this is commentary on the US, or am I reading too much into it?

Next episode looks like it will be fun with Blue Rose and her crush on Kotetsu.

Kurimu should be fine. (She was thrown from the helicopter onto the roof. You can see her unconscious form next to Tiger and Bunny.) As for Jake... something tells me they won't find a body...

Ohhh, I had noticed that her outfit was card themed but that idea didn't cross my mind, probably because I'm not a comic book fan at all.

I didn't even notice that, hmmm, maybe blue=one power and orange=two powers? Although it would seem like a cop-out if more characters suddenly started getting two powers when they've never even heard of that before. Also, kudos to whoever picked up that Jack knew Kotetsu's real name, this show is surprisingly sneak with the hints it throws in.

Well, powers are a relatively new phenomenon. It wouldn't be too surprising that they make new discoveries about them. And there's the "resemblance" between Jake and Kotetsu. (I don't really see it, but whatever.)

I was thinking that too but I think Jake was being honest that he didn't really remember why he attacked Barnaby's parents specifically. It sounds like he attacked a lot of people (I mean, didn't he get a 250 year sentence?) and over the years just lost track of it. Actually, I was glancing through the tvtropes page recently and I think it said that Barnaby's parents were robot engineers, wonder if that had anything to do with it.

@Anh Minh: I forgot how new the NEXT are so that does make sense, although I don't really see the resemblance either...

This latest episode was absolutely fantastic.

Such great shoutouts to Batman (via Barnaby) and the Joker (via Jake).

So very poignant and excellently dramatic.

Such great use of the entire hero cast (especially Tiger and Bunny), and almost all of the supporting cast members. The best super-hero story I've seen (or read) in a very, very long time.

This was such a great treat for the comic book-reading kid in me.

Wonderful. Simply wonderful!
