Akainu isn't bad for me. he just want to complete his mission, just like the Anti-terrorist soldier whose have a duty to eliminate terrorist who will harm people if he is escape

but unfortunately "pirate is evil" is absolute for him

Akainu's problem is that he uses the word justice as a blind okay to do whatever he wants. He will kill his own marines in the name of whatever he wants to call justice for the day. I'm pretty sure that he will declare martial law and kill innocent civilians if he felt that justice of the day calls for it.

i'm not sure he have a horrible past of his beloved one being harmed by pirates(it would make him same as Zephyr, but better than Zephyr case)

i guess he is pure follower of Absolute Justice

Monet before she was a half bird creature.
Doflamingo's gang all in one place.
Princess Viola didn't stand a chance.
King Riku got the worst possible role by Doflamingo.
So much violence... not something typical for this anime.
At least not in that amount.
The ruthlessness and the suffering were horrible.
And then Doflamingo showed his face as a savior.
What an awful way to get a country.
OMG! Violet is actually Princess Viole.
We might see a Toys rebellion sometime soon.

Wasn't Akainu part of the fleet that destroyed Ohara Island where Robin was raised on? Yeah, he is just plain evil. I remember how much he killed innocent civilians there with no regard. They were scholars and had nothing to do with pirates.

I don't think they will ever talk about his past. He is just going to be Mr. Evil lying to everyone about being a good guy in the name of justice.

Well it's not like he was doing it to kill the civilians; his reasoning for destroying the ship was that someone might have managed to stow aboard it and escape. He's not actively seeking out innocent people to kill, he just doesn't care if they get caught in the crossfire on his quest to kill all villains.

So I think more than evil, his version of justice is just literally blind.

Umm... Akainu's duty is protect the people. I guess he forgot that.

Anyway, what?!?! Is Trafalgar Law really dead? Just another reason that Doflamingo will most likely be eliminated this arc. I guess this means that the tournament in the coliseum will most likely be unfinished. I'm guessing Luffy will be busting through the walls soon.

Doflamingo vs Law!
Things were not going well for Law.
He was obviously exhausted by all the fighting.
That monster, Doflamingo, seemed to have an infinite amount of energy.
Lots of scene jumping around the island.
It was kinda hard to keep up with all the jumping though..
Franky made a good point.
Things are getting complicated.
Damn, Doflamingo sure is pure evil...

AAAAHHH!!!!, DAT ENDING, YEEESSS! Finally after seeing comments hyping it up it finally happens, if "He" is in the next episode I might die of a heart attack.

(P.S. I don't follow the manga just in case I get accused of hinting or spoiling)

The way I see it Akainu is basically like the CP9. Whatever he thinks is justice gives him the right to kill anyone he wants. If he wants them dead then they are evil. In the end he's certainly the perfect guy to lead the navy for the point when they get taken down by someone. No sympathy when the revolutionaries or whoever brings down the world government.

Yep, watching this show in 4 episode bursts isn't a bad way to go

. Now things are really about to take off. Once Luffy has declared that he's going to beat someone he'll find a way to get it done.

Rough time for Zoro there. Sure, he's improved a great deal but an admiral is still an admiral. Though at least they've set up someone amongst the admirals for Zoro to face off with if it comes down to a Straw Hat vs Admirals showdown. Probably not someone he can handle right now though.

Good way to limit the amount of fights you need to have though. Cut out a good chunk of the crew who have to move on to the next island ahead of the rest. Can't wait to see the craziness kick off though. A big war for this country. Kind of like Alabasta if Crocodile had already managed to conquer the country and not just in the process of doing so.

^lol I said the same thing about Alabasta 3 pages ago. It really is, though. I just wish the story would acknowledge it at some point. They sort of mentioned Alabasta when Doffy went into his explanation about tenryubito kingdoms and how Alabasta declined to join, but that's not quite what I was looking for.

In other news YEAH MINGO GONNA GET BOOT TO BOSS'D!

Also I had been wondering who was going to end up getting Ace's ability in the colloseum, since Luffy and Bart already have abilities (which, btw, why the hell is Bart even in this if he already had an ability, or anyone with an ability for that matter), and Rebecca doesn't seem like the type to want to shoot fire, so that would have left Jesus, which would have been kind of a letdown. But after the end of this episode now I have some idea what will happen. Don't want to say in case I'm right, but I'm probably not the only one who's guessing it after that.

Luffy and anyone competing is only trying to win the Devil Fruit, and not using on themselves, necessarily. They could use it, if they don't already have an ability, or they could give it to someone else. They could also sell it, too.

Yeah, the key for Luffy was just making sure some random person didn't get their hands on it. Could always give it to a member of the crew if the fit seemed right later. That motivation probably only getting stronger when seeing someone like Jesus being part of the competition. Near the bottom of the list that Luffy would want to get their hands on Ace's fruit would be a member of Blackbeard's crew, no doubt there.
