hmm I'm thinking of writing a Claymore story as well. But I want it to take place during the transition period from when all the Claymore Males production line has been terminated and a new dawn of era started with Riful's first day as a Claymore. So I'm wondering, would anyone like to contribute a little towards the cast? I'm happy to take in character profiles and intergrate them into the story. Well if anyone is interested let me know I'm going to start working on the prologue today.

funny enough I'm writing a story in that same time period too. Though Riful isn't a focus of my story, she will be a recurring character and comrade of one of mine.

By the way, an unexpected surge of insperation hit me.

Here is the second chapter of my Male Claymore fic that I posted a page or two back.

It is alot longer then anything I have done before Hope you guys appreciate it.

Spoiler for The Failure: Chapter 2:

The Failure: Chapter 2: Nightmare.

“SIR! Sir! Hel-“

A spray of crimson.

So many dead.

“Form up! Form ranks! Now damn you!” I yelled, trying desperately to rally my men.

They were dying, dying because of my carelessness.

A mercenary group that hunted Yoma, a foolish idea, but they had agreed, they had trusted him.

And now they were all dying.

“Shields! Raise shields!” I ordered, the few men left did so, some reacted quickly enough, others did not, and they died for their sluggishness.

Despite the ambush by the Yoma, we were still holding up pretty well, 20 of us dead, 5 of them.

But only 10 of us remained, and there were 4 left.

“Raise spears!”

The one that could fly slammed into us, and we had raised spears just in time, he had impaled himself, but his body slammed down on us, crushing 2 of my men.

Another rushed forward, one of my men rushed forward to meet him.

How foolish.

They Yoma ripped his head off without even a pause, and kept heading towards us, raising his hand.

I knew what was coming next.

“Drop!” I commanded as I hit the dirt, its fingers extended, I heard men scream.

I took a firm grip on my spear, stood up, and threw with all my might.

I was lucky; I hit him square in the head, a guaranteed kill.

Pain, I felt something claw across my back, and fell forward.
“Sir!” I heard one of my men yell, I vaguely recognized the voice, Adam, he was just a kid, and he looked up to me, damn it all.

I forced myself up, my legs unsteady, and I unsheathed my sword.

This was all my fault, I should have known, the Yoma would not stand by idly while a group of humans hunted them.

I had to keep fighting!

I turned around Adam was injured, but a dead Yoma lay at his feet, several spears had found their way into its body, but everyone else was dead.

“Sir, are you alright?!” He said, starting his way over to me.

“I’m fine kid- KID LOOKOUT!” I yelled.

Too slow, the kid was fast, but it was still far too slow.

His head went flying, a look of shock etched into his features.

And now it was a 1 on 1 fight.

Both of us were injured, but I could barely stand, and it seemed to be ignoring the broken spear-tip in its left arm.

Crap.

It lunged, and I pulled my sword up.

The impact hurled me into a nearby tree, its teeth inches away from my face, my hand barely holding its head back.

I was so screwed!

It coughed up blood; apparently my sword did go where I intended.

Lucky me.

It slumped over dead, and I pushed its body aside.

I surveyed the carnage around me.

So many dead.

And it was all my fault.

I woke up, sweat pouring down my body.

It was a dream from the past. It was a painful reminder.

My human heart slowed down, the Yoma heart beat as calmly as usual, it always beat the same unless I was fighting; it at least, understood that it was only a dream.

I hate this damn heart.

“Yo, you okay little guy?” a deep voice spoke.

“I’m fine Dauf, just a bad dream”

“Hehe must have been pretty bad to get you all shaken up.”

“Don’t worry about it, and don’t call me little guy, I’m the second tallest guy here Dauf, its not my fault you make Yoma look small.”

“Bah, Yoma ARE small, so are you.” Dauf said with a toothy grin.

This was Dauf, the proud honor of the title of number 3. That made him the third strongest warrior in the Organization.

I still can’t believe they are giving us numbers.

They had decided the numbers after figuring out we could measure each other’s power.

I am not sure about the specifics, but we could “sense” each others strength.

“Quiet down you two, we have our first missions in the morning” a cold, and harsh voice scolded us from across the room.

“Bah pipe down Rigaldo, we barely need sleep anyway, you know that” Dauf replied, paying no heed to Rigaldo’s words.

“Hmph suit yourself……Moron.”

“Hah! The great Knight of the Lion backing down from a fight from big-bad-Dauf?”

Shit, here we go again.

Rigaldo shot to his feet, Dauf a split second behind, both of them almost face to face, well face to face if Dauf wasn’t about a foot and a half taller.

“I told you never to call me by that title, Moron” Rigaldo hissed.

“Oh, What’s wrong? You don’t like your old name? Prefer your new one?” Dauf teased.

Man...Dauf was good at getting under his skin.

Knight of the Lion, Rigaldo’s title, that is, his title before the entire eastern kingdom was overrun by Yoma.

Dauf on the other hand, was a simple woodsman, who happened to have quite the talent for killing Yoma, a mere peasant in Rigaldo’s eyes.

“Calm down you two, the last thing we need is a fight before the mission.” I intervened; I really did not want to see a fight between “Silver eyed Lion King” Rigaldo and “Goliath” Dauf.

“Shut up Zeru, I don’t want to hear it from a failure, even if you are number 4.” Rigaldo said, barely sparing me a glance.

That reminds me, he doesn’t like me much either.

I still can’t believe this stuck-up bastard was number 2.

Shit, I still can’t believe they gave us numbers.

“Hey! Don’t diss Zeru!” Dauf said shoving Rigaldo.

It was ironic really, Dauf had called me a failure too, but when he just barely defeated me in the Arena, he had gained a healthy amount of respect for me.

Much to my surprise, we became fast friends after that.

Rigaldo lost his footing, caught by surprise, but this would escalate fast.

“Both of you stand down.” a calm, but commanding voice, from the other side of the room.

It was Isley, if there was anyone who deserved their rank, it was him.

The position of number 1 was filled by none other then him.

“Hmph, very well, so called Silver King.” Rigaldo said, in a mocking tone of course.

Man, he was a real jackass.

“Bah, just when it was getting good too.” Dauf’s response came a moment later.

Both of them eyed him wearily.

Neither of them liked Isley.

“Sorry sir, it was my fault.” I spoke up, I didn’t mind Rigaldo getting scolded, but Dauf had gotten riled up even more because of me.

“It is not a problem Zeru, all of you get some rest, and we should all be at full strength for tomorrow’s missions.” He said, glancing at everyone else in the room.

Apparently the argument had an audience, everyone else was watching.

Everyone quickly dispersed, heading back to their bunks.

Tomorrow was the big day, our first Yoma hunt, all the training, all the experiments, all the pain, and it all lead up to this moment.

We would finally get to kill some Yoma, the enemy of humankind.

It was dawn; all 50 of primary warriors were assembled and ready.

We were the ones judged suitable for battle; the others would stay at the base as back up, and home guard.

I was paired with one of the younger looking recruits, number 12, Kyle, who stood next to me.

He looked nervous.

“Don’t worry kid, I’ll be there too.” I said, in hopes of calming him down.

“T-t-thanks n-n-number 4 s-sir.” Kyle replied, stuttering all the way.

I sighed.

“Warriors! Today will be your first field mission!” A man in black stood before us, one of the scientists, Orsay I believe, the “handlers” as we called them were responsible for keeping check of our status and assigning us our orders.

They had put us together, so they knew what was best for us.

Or, at least, that was the assumption.

“The day you have all been preparing for has arrived! The day we will be able to strike back against the Yoma, who have hunted us humans for generations!”

There was a cheer of approval, I almost felt like joining in.

Almost.

We weren’t really human anymore were we?

Then again, sacrifices had to be made; human strength alone was not enough.

My dream was enough of a reminder of that.

“You all know your missions, GO FORTH!” Orsay yelled.

With a quick nod towards Isley and Dauf, I turn around and ran, at an inhuman speed, I knew where I was to strike.

Kyle looked better now too, maybe he was just one of those people who got nervous before a mission.

He kept up with me well, that was good, and considering the sizable Maul he carried, it was pretty impressive.

Our destination was a (relatively) nearby Yoma hive, they would prey on nearby villages, this was a medium size hive, so they believed that a warrior ranked 4th paired with a warrior ranked 12th would be more then sufficient.

Were we really that strong?

I guess we would soon find out. I checked my Flamberge, the Organization had forged our weapons out of some sort of alloy I was unfamiliar with.

I wonder, and not for the first time, where the hell they got this stuff.

We were making good time, at our pace; we would be at the hive within the next hour.

“We are here.” I stated the obvious, but I guess it had to be said.

The town was ruined, I could feel multiple “Auras” within, I could almost smell the damn things.

There were a lot of them.

Now that I could finally measure their power, I was amazed.

They were weak, even weaker then many of the “failures” that were left at the base.

“I’m ready” Kyle said, a hint of eagerness in his tone.

He was ready.
My second heart-beat sped up.

So was I.

“Let’s go!” I shouted.

We rushed straight into the jaws of hell.

It was a bloodbath; we cut through them with ease.

I knew as soon as we first engaged them, their numbers did not matter, we were too strong.

It looks like the scientists were right, we would be more then sufficient.

Kyle was releasing a huge amount of Yoki, I felt a stab of envy.

Yoma energy, the scientists had studied it closely, it was something we hybrids could unleash to increase our power, and it apparently felt good, really good.

I say apparently because I wouldn’t know, because it caused brutal agony to me when I used it, that was one of the reasons that many of the warriors still consider me a failure, an outcast, I couldn’t use the energy like they could, at least not without having to fight through the pain.

I had heard the word “disappointing” more then once from the scientists.

I was still a failure in their eyes.

That pissed me off.

Calm down, I had to calm down, fighting with anger just messed you up, I have to remain calm, aim with precision, and strike with only enough power to get the job done.

Control, that was the way I preferred to fight, I had seen the others during the testing, they almost went into some sort of battle-rage when they used their energy.

My talent at sensing Yoki, and my calm in battle was what earned me my rank; thankfully my increased strength from the “hybridization” was sufficient as well.

Speaking of which, how was the kid doing?

I stretched out with my sense, we had split up earlier, the Yoma didn’t stand a chance, so I didn’t see the harm in it.

………………

Something was wrong; I could feel Kyle just fine, he was uninjured, and the amount of Yoma left was small too.

Then why did Kyle’s yoki seem to be surging up?

I had a bad feeling about this.

My second heart beat faster and faster.

My human heart just felt dread.

I killed the last Yoma near me, and quickly headed to where Kyle was.

There were Yoma bodies everywhere, that wasn’t surprising, I had left plenty myself.

What WAS surprising was the vicious manner they were hacked to pieces.

Didn’t Kyle use a Maul?

I was getting closer to him; hopefully my questions would be answered soon.

I turned the corner, and froze.

What was that!?

Before me stood a massive beast, armored from head to toe, its mouth was a gaping maw of razor sharp teeth, it stood upright like a man, but it clearly was not, wicked looking blades extended from its' claw like hands.

It was a monster.

Where was Kyle!!? I had to find him now!

I stretched my senses out, searching for Kyle’s aura.

I found it……

It was right in front of me.

“Kyle?” I said, my voice filled with horror.

The monster turned and looked straight at me. It’s horrible, utterly alien eyes started at me.

“Zeru?? Ahhh, yes Zeru……” It spoke, its warped voice sounded drugged, almost like it was not entirely aware of itself.

“Zeru? Yes? I’m hungry Zeru….. Really, really hungry.” I recognized that voice, despite how warped it was.

It was Kyle.

I felt sick.

“I’m soooo hungry Zeru, I want something to eat” he droned on, ignoring my expression of shock.

“I think I’m hungry for some……..guts.” he finished, his eyes locked onto mine.

I knew what was going to happen next.

He lunged, an inhuman roar echoing out of his…no, its’ mouth.”

I knew what I had to do.

Tell me what you guys think, still refining this fic in my head, but I think it is going reasonably well.

Very interesting I like the story so far, although that story in zeru's past seems a little too fantastic to be true. I mean killing that many yoma with just 20-30 men, they seemed a little too overpowered fo humans. Also I wonder why you made their initial generation with 50 instead of 47? not that there is anything wrong with that. Keep up the good work

You would be amazed what a group of people with crossbows and Spears would be able to do, normal Yoma really aren't that tough.

The one in Rabona's Cathedral was a pretty big one, that was the only reason Galk and his buddy did so poorly.

I made the intial generation 50, because I wanted to make it clear the Organization did not always function the way it does now, they have changed over time, especially because of the events that area unfolding in my story.

I've read a part of the writings here and I'm impressed ^.^
I'm a fanfic-writer myself and I'm really thinking about writing my own fanfic of Claymore.

The plot will take place a few years after the current incidents (I'm waiting to see how the anime ends, being a bit different than the manga). I don't want to spoil too much for those who will wanna read, it's just the further stories of the 4 main Claymores (Clare, Miria, Helen, Deneve) with a few new characters added (inspired from real life people).

Spoiler for For those who want to know a bit more about the plot::

It will be about the next generation of Claymores ... the new MALE prototypes created by the organization, faster, stronger and without the "side effect" of releasing yoki; and the fight of the four Claymores to withstand the bloody fall of their generation. If I say anything more, I'll start spoiling a too much ...

I hope you look forward to it, just 3 more episodes left so I'm already getting heated (and my ideas are starting to go on paper/keyboard as well).

As for the latest chapter - descriptions! The scenery, the people in it, even down to the armors and such. Stories have to 'paint' everything in them with words. I'm gonna keep on ing it in until you get it. XDDD Meh it's probably not your writing style to do such anyway...

I do. I have friend who loved the charecter creation so much he bought a second card just so he could make more, and may even get a third.

Where is that distraction ? Rafaela thought quietly. Sounds like Youma feeding. A lot of Youma... and a Warrior...

SHING !!!

That is the unmistakable sound of a Warrior's Claymore shearing through youma bone. Rafaela moves quietly from her perch to the valley below.

She senses the yoki of a Warrior. Not a strong warrior. She is in distress, just the same. Unstable, that's what her yoki feels like. With her are the yoki of eight... no.. seven Youma. All of them are strong youma.

Why would so many youma be gathered here ?

Rafaela arrives at the sight of the Warrior and Youma yoki. She is impressed and shocked at what she sees.

About the place are nine dead youma. Still fighting, though badly injured is a Warrior. Though slowly losing the fight with seven remaining youma, She was not giving up. She was at her limit though. She couldn't keep up the fight for much longer: Not in her physical condition.

Rafaela steps in to the clearing, noisily. The youma hear her and look in her direction. They leave the injured Warrior, coming after Rafaela, snarling in a ravenous fury.

Rafaela moves smoothly and swiftly. All seven lay on the ground in pieces with in the blink of an eye.

The injured warrior slumps to the ground against a shattered tree stump.

"You are Linda, number 17." Rafaela states coldly, looking at the bloodied injured Claymore Warrior.
"I am." Linda whispers. "You'll have to excuse me for not getting up. My legs are kind of chewed up. And I don't have much left of my left arm. I may be dead in a few moments. So speak quickly."

In the future era, there are several planes of reality with little or more changes but shares a common history. These are the Real World, Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, and the plane of Alchemist. Just to name a few. But the Real World lies in the middle. The Sixth forbidden world that shouldn't be access is the world less developed. So in order to have it catch up to our plane. The late Central 46 had forbid access to the world until they develop a proper tecnology. Such volations should be punishable by death.

And So begins out story...

Soul Society 20XX

It was night time. The stars and the moon shone pefectly bright. Yamamoto was watching the moonlite at his Compound in peace. Soi Fon was visiting Yoruichi in the real world. Unohana was treditionally drinking her tea under the moonlite with Isane and Hanataro. At the the Point Of No Return. It the place where their is very little civilazation and vegation. Some have villages with some shinigami posted there in case of any hollows. In the middle of the plane, there was a circle forming in the sky.

At the outpost. The outpost was a field A Female shinigami just came in in her cloak. She put it up on a coat rack. Her partner was sitting on the computer checking his email. They really didn't belong to any special Division, but the Shinigami that are stationed there to answer to Division Two.

"So is was there anything there?" He asked.

"No as usual." The female Shinigami sat down at her desk opposite of ther partner.

"Oh yeah you heard." The male Shinigami tried to spark up a conversation to kill time. "Those Shinigami Representives have been reconized as a new sub-Division."

"Yeah I heard that there is two Shinigami representives," She joined in as she picked up her paper for her reports. "an unseated one, two humans, Vice-Captain of Division 6, and a Quincy. They really don't have a leader and they answer directly to General Yamamoto."

"Well, since Aizen, Gin and Tousen deflected to Hueco Mundo." The Male leaned back on his seat putting his hat on his face covering his face from the light. "On Captain's Ukitake request, Yamamoto made them an unofficial Division."

"Wasn't long time ago that there was a secret Division hiddend within the other Divisions of the 13 Courts Sqaud?" She put the finnished paper on on her desk. "Then late they revolte...."

"All that is all li.." Then a rumble had shaken the post. It was like an earthquake. Then it stopped as quickly as it came. Then the two Shinigami went outside. They saw the cracks on the ground.

"What the hell?" The male went and looked around. Then they saw a hoarde of monsters. There wasn't like the Hollows. They was something else. Then as the male Shinigami was about report to Seireitei. As soon as he was about to call. He was stabbed in the heart by his partner, an instant death. Then three people approched her. It was a tall mascular man, a man with a long katana and a woman.

"We have to hurry," She sheathed her katana and faced her comrades. "Seireitei must of felt it."

"Right." The big man said. and behind them was an army of monsters and some that looked like humans. "Company march" Then they followed the three people including the female Shinigami to Seireitei.

Later at another plane of reality. In a grassy plain. The place looked peaceful like Soul Society but it was quiet. There was a female with a giant claymore sword strapped behind her. She was wearing a black clad cloak. She had her hair braided and it hung from her right side. She was standing on the clif over the plains watch the portal in the sky. Then another female approching her.

"Tabitha," The female called her. She had short hair and two swords instead of one. "What's going on?"

"I don't know," Tabitha turned and looked at ther comrade. "I feel a strong Yoki presence, but there is something else a similar power that is just as powerful."

"What?" The Short haired one looked at her in suprise. "Could it be Priscilla?"

"No, it's not an Awaken Being." She looked up. "It's something else."

Then there is a rumble in the area, like in Soul Society the ground rumbled. But it disappeared suddenly. Meanwhile at base camp, there was one the was also in leather cald, but it was all over her limbs. She was eating an apple, as she was waiting for her friends by the fire. Then the two young women from the cliff came to the fire.

"Hey, Deneve what's up?" the woamn called out her friend after she had finnished with her apple. The woman with the two swords was named Deneve. Her friend who was eating an apple was named Helen, a bit of a wild child. But we'll get into that later.

"Where's Miria?" Deneve asked as she looked around the area.

"With Uma, Cynthia, and Clare," Helen took another bit of the apple and looked at her friend who usually has a stren look on her face.

"We need to get out of here." She replied.

"What?" Helen dropped her apple. "What do you mean? Is Isley nearby?"

"No." She looked at the sky. "It's something else."

"What?" She grabbed her friend "What the hell are you talking about?"

"Something is about to happend." Then as seeing Deneve and Helen talking. Tabitha went to where the others are at. At another plain near the waterfalls. There was four other women with their swords, The three with their swords out except one she still had her sword sheathed. Then the two ran up to her, then at great speed appeared behind her. Then in a flash the woman deflected thier attacks blowing them away. At that point the Leader was watching them fight with incredible speed that an human eye can't see it. As the warrior turned around to the leader, but she was gone. Then she looked around herself and saw that the leader made mulitiple images of herself. As she was about to make her move, she attacked the image instead. As she had her back turned she, the leader had her sword near the woman's neck.

"You're too careless, Clare" The Leader looked at the girl, but the girl had her sword up the Leader's legs.

"You too, Miria." Clare looked at Miria. They used to be Claymores, saving people from these creatures called Yoma. Seven years after Pieta they was left for dead in the cold mountians and left that part of their life. The term Claymore was used by common folk people who they protect.

"Miria!!" Tabitha called out as she ran to the others.

"What is it?" Miria and Clare sheathed their swords.

"When I was on watch." Tabitha looked at Miria with such urgancy. "I sensed a powerful yoki at the sky."

"Was it Priscilla?" Clare looked at her.

"No it was something else another power source." Tabitha looked up. "Something just as powerful."

"Everyone get back to camp." Miria ordered. "We have to leave."

"What?" What's going on?" Uma questioned her.

"I hope I'm wrong about this." Miria and the other went back to camp to pack up.

Meanwhile at another part of land. A man dressed in black with sunglasses and a fedora hat looked up and smiled.

"This again?" He fixed his hat. "It happend sooner than I thought."

At the sametime a person in a grey cloak looked up. Only his blue eyes was visable. He was armed with a large sword. Then he walked away.

In our world. Somewhere private and secluded. The place looked like a dry waste land. There was rocks everywhere. A black blur jumped to his hiding spot. Then someone had slashed through his hiding spot with a giant sword. Then the person leaped out of his spot just in time. At that he unsheathed his sword at his oppent. His opponet was older and was dressed in a school uniform. Her hair was braided and she was wearing glasses.

"Here goes." The young boy charaged at her with his sword out. As approched her she dodged out the way and whacked him with her sheath. At the distance Ichigo was looking at his student Souta Higurashi. He yawned and was about to lay back only to the whack in the head by a sandal.

"You dickhead," The short blonde vizard looked at him as Ichigo was rubbing his head.

"What was that for?!" Ichigo got up. Yet again he was whacked in the head.

"You student is just as worst as you!!" The girl was named Hiyori a Vizard. Along with the people in the underground training spot, they too are Vizards. Similar fashion as the Claymores, they are half Shinigami and half hollow. Ichigo who has somewhat mastered his hollow abilities has taken Souta Higurashi under his wing as his student. Like Rukia before Ichigo has to train Souta to the best of his abilities, not quite ready for his bankai training. As Ichigo and Hiyori was reaching their breaking point.

"hey dinner's ready!!" Kensei the other Vizard. 'Last one to get has to wash the dishes."

Both Hiyori and Lisa, the girl with the glasses who was fighting Souta, had raced before Ichigo. Souta had sheathed his sword.

"Come on Souta," Ichigo called out to him. "I don't wanna wash dishes again."

"Yes, sensei." Souta and Ichigo had raced to beat the female vizards.

Meanwhile in the surface Shinji was looking at the sky from atop of the hideout. His coat was blow against the cool spring breeze.

"It's goin' to be busy." he said to himself. Then over Shinjuku a rift was opening up. It was the same one that was in that world and Soul Society. The one with weak reiatsu couldn't see it, but those who have the strong will can see it. Just like he said, thing was going to be very busy.

Ok in fanfic for the sake of the story there is going to be a language barrier between Ichigo's company and the Seven Claymores. Also when that is broken I'm going to use some Japanese terms fo the Claymores like:

Yokijitsu (Art of Fighting yomas)
Shichinin no Claymore (seven Claymore)
and some prefixes.

Aslo some characters from Claymore and Bleach make an appearance as well as some guest stars.
