As soon as they reach the girl’s room, a girl greeted them. Irish notice that the girl seems to be watching some kind of show on the television set in the room.

“I am back.....Chiharu....”

Umi replied the girl with a smile on her face.

“U-Umi-chan..... I-I will prepare tea for our guest….” Chiharu, the seemly shy girl stammered before walking away, leaving the two alone for a while.

“So what do you want to talk about?” Irish asked cautiously…. Umi waved her hand as if waving the question away. “Let’s wait for the tea first, I am thirsty…”

Chiharu placed two cups of tea on the table went back to watching her show. Umi took a slip from her cup and look at him, waiting for him to take a drink.

Irish looked at the cup of tea in front of him. He knew that it is an instant tea from the tea bag in the cup. He wondered if it is a trap, there seems to be no possibility of the tea being spiked by Umi since she did not add anything to the cup unless the tea bag has been spiked! But he do not think Umi would do anything funny with another person in the room.

Irish took a sniff from the tea…it is surprisingly aromatic despite of being an instant tea. Irish took a cautious slip. A bitter taste filled his tongue, unsurprisingly for a cup of instant tea.

“How is the tea?” Umi asked.

“Bitter….can we get on to the topic?” Irish asked, slightly annoyed and a little paranoid that the girl seems to be avoiding the topic.

Umi walked to Chiharu and tell her to leave the room so that they could talk in private. Irish reach for his knife just in case.

Chiharu walked to the door and.....

*click*

She locked the door.

Now fully alerted that something is wrong, Irish tried to draw his knife but his limbs feels weak and his body collapsed on to the floor.

“What do you want from me?” Irish demanded as Umi picked him up with the help of Chiharu and place him on her bed while Chiharu went back to her bed and watch.

“I did say I want to tell you something.....though I admit, the second part is a lie.....” Umi replied as she remove her uniform and climb on to the bed. “I want to teach you about the relationship between a man and a woman…” She whispered seductively.

Irish tried to move away but it is no use, he could no longer move his body. No....this can’t be happening to him again.....

Umi noticed his displeasure of the situation and smiled.

“What a dishonest boy you are.....” She pressed her body against his. “Even though your face says no but your body desired mine so much....you could feel it right? Of course you can… I added a little Aphrodisiac drug into the drink after all...kukuku....”

Irish wanted to scream for help but he is afraid that the girl might add something extra while his mouth is open....

His body feels like it is on fire...

Is this hell?

Somebody help me....

Suddenly the door slammed opened and A certain girl with aqua blue hair walked into the room with her arms folded.

“There you are. Bitch… I have been looking all over the place for you…..”

The intruder said without batting an eye-lid or changing her expression on the current sight. Umi swept her hair to the back of her head, smiling while trying to keep her cool.

“What are you doing here, Qiya? Shouldn’t you be hanging out with your fellow weirdo? Or are you too dumb to see that I am busy right now?”

“Ara….how rude, here I am, trying to be a nice girl giving you a purpose in life, a simple task of delivering this letter to your boss and yet you still dare to insult me? What a bitch you are…”

Qiya threw a letter of challenge on the floor.

“We had enough of you Bitches..... It’s time to settle it on the field.... Tomorrow, Field C.... At the mean time.....”

Qiya grabbed Irish by the collar and drag him away.

“I will be confiscating this guy. Don’t want you to get distracted before the battle.” Qiya gave a wicked smile as she walk away with Irish being dragged away.

Umi’s smile dropped as soon as the intruder left the room. She pick up the nearest hard object on her table which happened to be the alarm clock and threw it at the door.

“U-Umi?”

“Chiharu...close the door....”

Chiharu obey, knowing very well what would come next....

Qiya threw Irish at the trash area and tried to walked away but was stopped by a hand.

“Qiya! Irish isn’t flammable!”

The girl looked at her friend. She had a point!

“Sorry Ayara…”Qiya pick up Irish and threw him in the inflammable trash area. Both girls smiled at each other.

“Let’s get dinner…”

Umi's hairstyle is deliberately trying to provoke the feeling of a Squid...

Try Novelty or RenPy they're very easy to use (just had to be patient, but then again all engine are just like that).

Out of sheer irony, those girl are antagonist in the story which means their back story may or may not be mentioned..... (unless I decide to do a side story on Cipher)

Don't worry. Most of them can take care of themselves in a fight. I feel
bad for Ichika, Irish and Maximillian though They're really open targets and the fact that they seem to be constant butt monkeys is only gonna make things worse.

@ Zero - Do all IS enter absolute barrier or only the personals? Also, does absolute barrier heal the pilot or just preserve their health? Lastly, is the pilot awake during this phase and is it poasible to break through the barrier and attack them?

They just protect them from sure kill attack, the pilot can lose her arm and Absolute Barrier won't be activated.

It's possible for the pilot to be awake, just as in Houki & Uchigane's case, many however lose their consciousness because even with absolute barrier activated, the pilot can still felt some 'pain' (See Laura and Ichika's case)

Thanks for that I have another quesion: Is there a reason most guys in anime don't have hair anywhere except their head? In my story Irish suffers from Alopecia (Loss of body hair) since his hormone growth is stunted so he has no hair except for his head. Do any of the other guys like Ichika have an excuse?

Doesn't an IS shut down when the Absolute Barrier activates?

As in shuts down and then turns into it's closed form, or just simply shuts down.

Nope, Houki's Uchigane also deactivates, but since it has no closed form, being a common I.S. and all, it just deactivated normally.

Personal I.S. however will be turned into closed form as the absolute defense activated. Laura is an oddity, but that maybe just because of the existence of VT system.

After a long and painful battle with Writer's Block:

"Damn that accountant!" Haruko disgustedly slammed her phone down. The little mobile bounced along the car's brake and gas pedals, and the analyst buried her face in her hands. Haruko brought her fists down on the steering wheel. Luckily the vehicle was still in park, as Kokuto muttered vicious curses under her breath. "We need financial approval to search for Van Maark? This is a catastrophe!"

<Ren> sat, arms crossed in the passenger's seat. "We're wasting time."

I ALREADY KNOW THAT! Haruko barely managed to stop herself from whining aloud.

The sullen look on <Ren>'s face was frightening as well. "Think."

"I AM THINKING!" Haruko screamed aloud. "It would help if you gave me somewhere to start!"

Without a word, <Ren> pulled a small dark object out of her pocket.

"What's that?"

"I was hoping you could tell me." <Ren> let the analyst handle the object, what seemed to be a jet-black slip of oily paper. It was pliable yert brittle. "I found it on the floor of the meeting room."

"I'm not certain, but it looks like a kind of carbon fiber weave." Haruko pulled to test the material's strength. It remained firm and taut. "Like what's used on impact protective vests."

"Body armor?"

"Yes." Haruko nodded. Impact vests were the most up-to-date protection for police and military forces. They consisted of carbon fiber weave with solid plastic inserts to protect against knives and small arms. "Maybe one of the police or SDF people?""

"There was no one left in that room wearing a protective vest. And I don't recall Van Maark wearing one." <Ren> added. "What if losing Van Maark was in the best interests of the Johohonbu?"

Kokuto looked at <Ren> as is she'd turned into a circus clown right before her eyes. Incredulously, she could not help but stare for a moment.

"Why? Why would HQ do that?"

Three police vehicles drove away from the branch office, all in the same direction. At this, <Ren> finally smiled and stepped out of the car.

"Follow those cars." <Ren> instructed. "I'll find out."

"How?" Haruko exclaimed, but <Ren> had already started jogging back to the building. Without much other choice, the analyst took her car out of park and trailed the three patrol cars.

Hanekawa did not have the rented motorbike for long when he saw the trio of patrol cars zoom past. He thought nothing of them except for one fact.

They were closely being tailed by a familiar little car.

Jo frowned. The analyst who had been protecting Van Maark was hot on the trail of the three cars. He could not see his rival in the passenger's seat, but could not make a judgement.

Is it a trick? Have they actually tried to transport Van Maark like that? Jo took a moment to think.

Without further pause, he drove away. Gunning the bike's engine, he headed for the National Police office.

Normally you wouldn't be able to, but some oddities once again exist with Laura.

As VT System is activated, she had no shield energy whatsoever (Drained by Char's merciless strikes) and keep attacking. It was established that Shield Energy =/= I.S. power supply.

I don't know about the canon, but in my story some 'parts' are designed to minimize shield energy consumption when defending an attack head on.

The first example would be Uchigane's 'Floater Shield' and Raphael's [Garden Curtain].

Those parts however hogging the I.S. internal power system when used, therefore something else must be sacrificed, either firepower or propulsion.
