Well, let's not say she was totally innocent either...

C'mon, people, no one was innocent here. That's exactly what was so tragic about the whole thing...

Well, no one is innocent, though there are some that are more innocent than others...

And that's where our opinions and experiences come into the picture.

Well...it's your choice to act like a brainless idiot, but if anything happens, you asked for it...

Everybody is equally at fault, in my opinion. Kinda like running in front of a speeding train going 100mph in a 30mph zone...

There really isn't any point in discussing who's innocent or who isn't. The final episode was just a cheap trick to cover the mess that the rest of the show is. I mean, how can you like/judge a show because of just one episode - as most people do. The only reason they like SD is because of the "Nice boat" scene. And coming back to the discussion, I agree with ^ that everyone acted as stupid as humanely possible.

I like SD because it showed us a "what-if" scenario to harem series. And because it didn't shy away from having mostly unsympathetic characters throughout a good part of it.

Honestly, it was kinda refreshing.

It was for me a cheap trick to use something as similar shocking as the bad ends of the original eroge.

I actually kinda liked the anime for it's MTV-like cheesiness...that, and to be honest, School Days actually would be kinda realistic if it took place in America minus the stabbing (players...yeah, they were everywhere in my high school.)

yeah, the most terrible kind of fan there is, almost as awful as all the haters; shame that people just focus on the very end and completely ignore the rest of a very good story

As I've said many times before, I think School Days is just honestly an extremely well-written show with consistent, not-stupid-to-the-point-of-being-unbelievable characters.

So, the people who hate SD for completely legitimate reasons are awful? There are more reasons to hate SD than to like it.

I actually really enjoyed school days, even if the ending almost gave me an aneurysm. =.= I thought that it showed a "darker" side of having all the beautiful women like you. I love variety in my anime, and boy did School Days give it to me.

While it's okay to dislike a series, hating a TV series just goes too far. There's a difference.

I guess you are right. But I can't blame people who do hate SD - for obvious and logical reasons reasons.

When did I ever blame anybody who likes it?

Actually there are some cases when i can think of hating tv series, but that would be not related to anime though. Like series that have racism or contains things related to your fears or phobias (like people who cant stand blood, will surely hate tv series about surgeries) etc.
But in the case of school days, i can't stand Makoto and the other characters to like this serie.

Nah, I don't think there's any story I'm so defensive of that I can't accept valid criticism. If someone wrote a thoughtful, well-reasoned message about why they dislike School Days rather than just spewing vitriol over the forum, I'd actually enjoy reading it. The problem is that I can hardly remember an instance where this has ever happened, with the vast majority of negative 'reviews' concerning School Days being along the lines of "God this show is fucking dumb, I can't believe I wasted my time with this shit." Of course, that's hardly a problem limited to School Days alone; intelligent criticism is a lot more uncommon than the alternative no matter what subject you're talking about.
