I hope they do, otherwise, we're gonna be stuck in another Haruhi and MM.

Well, they said it's only the light novels. Izuru can probably still opt for the anime or manga.

Man. And there's nothing more annoying to me then open endings.

We don't exactly have a choice:/ It's either we go for an anime original ending, a continuation of the manga, or nothing at all.

We can always just continue it ourselves. Ping, is it a go?

Although I'm not going to lie, this makes me feel really...I'll take it out on my punching bag now...

One of the really horrible things about this is that to me, it felt like it was getting more and more interesting.

I can hear the sound of my hopes and dreams being shattered right now.

The author's not dead yet Who knows, maybe he can continue the novels. If not, he'll be able to do the anime or manga. Of course, he could take another job

I don't think so. It's probably just less harem antics, not over the top darkness and despair.

Nothing we can do about it now. We just have to wait ajd hope for a continuation at some point. Waiting won't be a problem since many awesome anime's are coming out soon

If Izuru has indeed been kicked out of MF Bunko, his light novel career is ended for good. Kadokawa, the parent company of MF, is a monopoly of the entire industry publishing over 95% of all LN titles. Even for the smaller LN labels outside the Kadokawa kingdom, they dare not hiring a rouge just for pissing off Kadokawa, as they still have to rely on it for distribution channels, marketing, media-mix projects and whatnot. Of course his work ethics is an equally nasty deterrent.

Right now both physical and electronic distributions of his works has been ceased. There is no official statement from MF yet of putting an end to IS, but rumours suggest that it is only for reducing the collateral damage towards the innocent artists working on adaptations of the series. If it is true, the adaptations may be brought to a relatively quicker end but still with enough stuff to fill a volume for publishing (so that the mangakas can get their share). Official announcements from the company will then come afterwards.

Personally I am more interested in seeing him writing a non-fiction account on the dark secrets of the Japanese publishing industry and the light novel scene.

Makes sense, not that fans will be fully pleased but better than none...

Great, this sucks

Does this at least mean we'll get an ending? I'd rather have a rushed/unsatisfying ending than a cliffhanger for the end.

Look on the bright side, now you can write your own. And I thought Teh_Ping already created a draft of v8?

Personally I think that if they can't end it properly they should just leave it alone.

I'd take a cliffhanger over an unsatisfying end any day.

Again, we should wait and see. It'll probably be a few months before they make any official news about it.
