just started watching this series. Kagari is a very interesting character; i like
her character's design and her kuudere personality. while i was watching, i notice there is an Obama-kun in a group that beats up the main character. that kind of made me laugh for a bit there...Obama-kun...come on now. :P

Her hands and feet grew claws when she flipped out on Chronoire, she sprouted feathery wings out of her back, and there was some sort of demonic dragon-like creature standing behind her. She was holding Chronoire down with her foot, and it had a freaking dewclaw on it like a traditional dragon foot.

Yea Kagari has like a "beast mode" does kinda look like a traditional Dragon (which hasn't even REALLY been explained in the manga, and there aren't a lot of good pictures of it) that she goes into when backed into the corner but i think he needs to be right next to her or so she can use his mana to "feed" it. She always tells him to close his eyes so he doesn't see her like that i dunno if she's ashamed or thinks he will hate her for transforming. It just looks like a manifestation of her being a living flame..

Well if you notice, it seems that witches merged with some sort of animal or creature is just the norm, or just another school of magic to them. Cat-eared Tanpopo is another example of this, and so is the other Tower witch from the mall trio.
I wish the anime (or the manga for that matter) would delve into the types of magic in a more detailed fashion one day. Kagari wields flame, summons fire elementals and can transform her body while other witches conjure different, exotic weapons or weird minions and familiars. Chronoire literally alters the space inside the school bus while putting up a barrier. The display of magic in the story is quite imaginative and not your run-of-the-mill fireball or magic missile. Now, if only the anime had the time and budget to show these moments better. Granted, they're not that bad at all, but imagine what sights they could've been. |

IMO so far WCW is good enough, it could have been better, but any adaption can be improved (even those that hav won an oscar). |

I like the fact that the anime has decided on an OST which has a little bit of gravitas, over what could've easily been something whimsical or something too close to pop music. There is till some variety in the OST and the story does have its light-hearted and moments of comic relief, but the underlying story at heart between the two main characters is no laughing matter. |

Indeed, IMO Kagari is still a girl even she might be "faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound" but if Takamiya ever looked at her with disgust it would worse than a death knell for her.
