Speed of light? Are you kidding me? It took them a whole month before it was done. I mean I was literally checking the site two times a day.

Anyways I also found it interesting that Araragi didn't mention Kanbaru or Nadeko at all when talking about the destruction of the world. Either way, so if Kizu didn't fully flip you did this one do the trick? For me it just reenforced the fact that all the other girls got nothing over Shinobu.

BTW what do you mean by easy way out?

I'd have added how I get the hardest while I'm with Nadeko, but that may just be me.

Either way, the whole thing about him choosing Kiss-shot to die with, I think it's a sign of partnership than love. Araragi is even saying that the one he loves the most is Senjōgahara. So, rather than romance, I see it as some sort of bromance. In fact, going by what has been translated so far of Kizu, I'm yet to see any romance between Araragi and Kiss-shot.

It's not romance but that doesn't mean its any less. All I can say is they have decided to spend the rest of their lives together. How one interpretates that is up to them.

Who knows? But going by Kizu, I think I can see why Araragi would have kept Kiss-shot, without any romantic connotations, though. Anyhow, I was half-expecting some romantic development, considering I saw some people shipping Araragi and Kiss-shot, but well, people ship many things. I guess I should have known better.

One month's pretty fast, considering the last one they were working together as a team and still took 'em around the same time (including proofreading and stuff). Easy way out as he didn't choose anyone. I still haven't got the time to read it yet so I'll withhold judgment for later. I just find it weird how you can love one person the most but yet want to die most with another <__<. Makes me feel like he owed her, which is true, but I don't like the wording of it.

Well, perhaps he meant it in a similar fashion as what you'd say to a brother-in-arms? He could also have meant it as, even though Senjōgahara is the person he loves the most, the one he sees spending most of his life with is Kiss-shot - e.g. if his life-span is longer than that of a human. I think there are many ways you can take that quote.

I'd really like to know in which context that quote was said. It'd, perhaps, make it more clear.

Okay I just finished reading Kabuki and.....

Holy crap this novel is good. This novel is by all means a continuation of Shinobu and Araragi's relationship that was restarted in Nise. There were just so many things great about the novel that I don't even know where to start. First of all just let me mention that as a Shinobu fan I am bias as hell when it comes to the relationship between them but I'll try my best to keep this fair. When comes to character development Araragi and Shinobu have finally reached the stage of their relationship where they can entrust their backs to each other. Back in Nise 2 they were at the stage where they can plan and work together but now they truly do "exist for one another." This also proves what kind of stories are going to be in season 2 of the Monogatari series. Shiro completed Hanekawa's character while this one completed the relationship between Araragi and Shinobu. With this being said one might find it weird that MAYOI JIANGSHI didn't really have any Mayoi in it. Once again this novel truly is a sequel to Nise 2 because even this part of it is exactly the same too. Mayoi was used as an extremely important point but the character itself didn't really make any progress. Nisio back in Nise 2 said that the whole reason he decided to write Kabuki was because he couldn't let Mayoi's character hanging and incomplete. Looks like this either got abandoned or pushed back. It'll be hilarious if it turns out in Shinobu Time Mayoi's the one who is in the spot light and Shinobu ends up in the background. As for the plot it was kinda confusing. Not confusing in the sense that you have no idea what's going on but rather confusing in the sense that the character keep using theories to explain the stuff they are doing. But is that a bad thing? Well of course not! You might not fully understand it but at the same time you know what's happening and the best part is that even if you are like me and didn't understand anything you still find the twist at the end incredible. Nisio really used all his brain skills on this one. This novel really did have everything, action, comedy, drama, suspense, tragedy...it gives you everything you want and even make you love genres that you hate. There was a reason why this volume was selling like hotcakes and that is why. Kizu gives you bittersweet feeling at the end but this one gives you a "I'm full" kind of feeling. This volume just might beat Kizu as my favorite novel of the series.

Not really, the only thing she did was introduce Oshino's niece to Araragi.

soniko Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2010	Spoiler for kabukimonogatari: Yeah sorry I didnt explain it very well The whole volume focuses on the relationship between Koyomi and Shinobu As usual Koyomi dosent realise it (as with nadeko) but Shinobu is totally obsessed with him Also theres a line by Araragi "So the oath (the time you die is the time I die one) went both ways after all" or something like that I left out the letter bit because its the climax and long. They succeed in going back (to the day of shiro's start) , and Koyomi has a talk with Hachikuji. Koyomi asks her if she is happy that she became a ghost, Hachikuji answers she is not happy(unfortunate) that she became a ghost, but she is happy(fortunate) that she met Araragi. It ends there, and from nishio's afternote apparently it goes straight onto suruga devil All this time travelling and destroying the world thing may sound a little abrupt, but its emphasized through out the volume she is 'the one and only' kiss shot~ Araragi wonders about what happens to tsukihi but it was left out

For the people who have read Kabuki Spoiler: The way Kissshot destroys the world sound eerily familiar to how how Kerrigan destroy worlds. Kerrigan=Kissshot Zerg=Jiangshi Looks like Nisio has been playing Starcraft 2...then again I don't believe that game is popular in Japan or that the fact that they even sell it.
