When I accidentally saw the spoiler years ago, I was expecting a more brutal rejection by Yuji
Like, no-holds-bar-god-honest-truth-it's-not-me-it's-you rejection that would ring harder than a hammer on an anvil So Yuji broke three girls in one episode, what a deliciously evil bastard

You know, I was gonna complain the fight was underwhelming because the initial part looked kinda budget, lingering on people's faces for too long, especially the Margery freak out part. But I've been spoiled by certain other anime this season.
However, the BGM was great as usual, Yuji's VA absolutely rocked, and the best Urusai ever. Sadly, her stupid flame punch thing turned out to be absolutely useless. Well, at least Yuji has decided to put matters on his own hands on how to protect everyone, and apparently joining the bad guys gives him this opportunity. Or so he thinks... Best 3x urusai, btw. The most important thing though is that he did what he should have done seasons ago and told Kazumi off. That alone is enough to earn the episode a 10/10. This is the best Shana episode ever, and I have been waiting for this moment forever. I can finally die in peace.

So...that God forsaken love triangle has finally come to an end. Good for Shana, I guess. Well, she can celebrate after some much needed R&R after Yuuji beat her to a pulp.
The Margery emo transition felt pretty awkward, and quite frankly was more annoying than anything. The animation was also sub par at times, but it picked up near the second half. Overall... a pretty good episode. I'll give it an 8/10 for easily being the best this season of Shana has yet to offer.

I'm still not sure exactly how I feel over Yuji's overall characterization turn, but it certainly does seem to have been executed marvelously well in this episode.
The scenes were intense, the dialogue made sense, characterization was rock solid, and everything came together quite nicely. This is the sort of episode that made Shana one of my all-time favorite anime shows. 10/10 for Episode 4.

Man, you guys are cold when it comes to Kazumi. I'm not really gonna express joy about the love triangle coming to an end.
But maybe that's because after all the shipping crap in Code Geass, Gundam SEED, and Nanoha, I've come to realize that heavy investment in shipping is fucking stupid. Shana, Marcocias, and Wilhelmina all seemed to act like they already knew the truth about the Silver's manifestation--was that the information that Wilhelmina was going to tell her in season 2 before Pheles showed up? Or back then was she only going to tell them about Yuji's silver-colored flame?

It did amuse me with how screwed the Misaki City crew was without Yuji. He has the one weapon you don't dare block or parry, the ring that makes one invulnerable to flame (and thus immune to just about every Flame Haze), he knew where their mission control was kept, knew the strengths and weaknesses of all three Flame Hazes present... and he was also their ace in the hole against powerful Tomogara in the first place, and now they had to fight against that ability...
