Soviet war veteran found in Afghanistan after 33 years

Quote:
A Soviet soldier who went missing in Afghanistan nearly 33 years ago has been found living with Afghans in the western province of Herat.

The soldier is semi-nomadic, has the adopted Afghan name Sheikh Abdullah and practises herbal medicine, Russia's RIA news agency reports.

An ethnic Uzbek, he was found by ex-Soviet veterans of the war.

Actually, our newspapers have nothing to write about. The last one I have seen full pages of text is during the MSK escape (of course, even basic jungle warfare training seemed to be alot more hellish as compared to what my peers in earlier batches had been through - my entire section ran out of green camo paint in a week).

Hell yeah! Wait....

A staff member said a same-sex wedding would create "repercussions" among visitors if both brides wore wedding dresses or both grooms donned tuxedoes.
I demand that such weddings be banned permanently and all involved parties be severely prosecuted.

Japanese Women Choose Top 20 Reasons To Go Out With Otaku Men

Quote:
What qualities do otaku men have that attract females to them? Goo research polled 1,072 Japanese women for their top 20 reasons to go out with otaku males. The poll was conducted in January of 2013 and here are the results.

The original Japanese article starts out by saying "Otaku males are often sterotyped as 'unattractive', but they have their charms!", so I am guessing it is written with some kind of bias, but nonetheless, let's see what charms those women think Otaku males posses. Images are for reference only and has no relation to the result of the ranking.

So... it's alright if one groom wore a wedding dress?

That is still wrong. Two men in a marriage, so who is going to be giving the stick into the hole, front to front?

OTOH :

High Court reserves judgment on second 377A case

Quote:
A judge in Singapore’s High Court on Wednesday reserved judgment on a second case brought before the court questioning the constitutionality of a controversial law criminalising gay sex.

The application, filed by 49-year-old Tan Eng Hong through his lawyer M Ravi, challenged the validity of Section 377A of the Penal Code, which provides that consensual intimacy between men is against the law.

Tan was initially charged under the section in question when he was arrested in 2010 for engaging in fellatio with another man in a toilet cubicle in a mall. After Ravi questioned its constitutionality, prosecutors amended their charges to that of committing an obscene act in public, for which Tan and his partner were fined $3,000 each.

On Wednesday, Ravi said in a closed-chamber hearing that Section 377A is “inherently absurd, arbitrary, vague and discriminatory and as such offends the fundamental, overarching requirements of the rule of law and natural justice”.

One of the plaintiff’s main arguments is that the section violates Article 12 of the Constitution, which provides for equality of all citizens before the law, adding further that all citizens are entitled to equal protection by the law.

Responding to Tan’s case was senior counsel Aedit Abdullah, acting for the Attorney-General’s Chambers, who, according to The Straits Times, said that the section is founded on an intelligible difference based on gender.

Presiding over the case is Justice Quentin Loh, who also reserved judgment in a similar court challenge brought forward by couple Gary Lim and Kenneth Chee late last year. Lim’s and Chee’s constitutional challenge was heard last month, with similar arguments by their lawyers being advanced.
Well the judge technically did the right thing. He did it in the toilet, not in front of a bunch of lolis to corrupt their pure and innocent minds. 377A isn't absurd. It is supposed to be used in conjunction with the Public Order And Nuisance Act to convict evil people.

I use to think they would flip a coin to decide who will stick it in, but I would never imagine front to front. Saintess, you seem to be quite an expert on this subject.

The term "missionary position" got lost in my brain of stock reports I was reading.

And you can't have a missionary position between two men. It is technically impossible.

And come to think of it, THE CEREMONY IS HELD IN DISNEYLAND. A place where young children go to! Think about the wrong ideas they would have and the immense cost of setting things right and teaching them the right things! Japan cannot afford that with their lackluster economy!

Why Is The US Spending Hundreds Of Millions On These Secret Israeli Bunkers?

Last year it was announced the U.S. was looking to build a secret underground complex in Israel. On February 13 a contract was awarded to Conti Corp Federal Services in Edison, NJ to complete the project. Their bid of almost $63 million came in well below the possible $100 million set aside for the project.

Conti's bid went toward building five underground levels and six above ground buildings that they have 900 days from February 13 to complete. The U.S. government then issued another request for proposal December 28 to construct Site 81 Phase II. Also in Israel, also partially underground, this project calls for up to $100,000,000 to refinish six underground facilities and some currently occupied surface buildings.

Walter Pincus from the Washington Post fleshed out the original Proposal construction project, called Site 911 in November. That nearly $63 million project awarded to Conti can be built only by workers from specific countries with proper security clearances.

When complete the well-guarded compound will have five levels buried underground and six additional outbuildings on the above grounds, within the perimeter. At about 127,000 square feet, the first three floors will house classrooms, an auditorium, and a laboratory — all wedged behind shock resistant doors — with radiation protection and massive security.
