It was more than just a series of still shots. The Children were actually singing and dancing and moving around a little bit.

Though I thought that it was pretty poorly choreographed and not in sync. It's like the animators didn't really know if they want to make them dance and move around or not.

Dear God, that was an absolutely amazing episode! Lots of serious stuff going on and a lot of gravitas. Plus it was pretty funny too, with the crazy Sakaki antics!

Looks like the future will be extremely bleak if the premonitions are any indication.

Also the next episode will be animated by GOMZO (that's what the previews said.

) and it looks to be animated, Gurren Lagann style!

I can't wait!

The new OP is... exciting, visually, with lots of new characters and overall good animation. Like the old song better than this one, but I'm getting used to it.

ED... suddenly, the ED for this show just became so much cooler...

Looks like it'll get good in the future (still good now). Good series, really.

Episode 27's art was... "amazing"... Also lots of cameos by Lucky Star, Strike Witches, etc... All of this because of Gonzo joining in?

It's a good thing in this case though. It's not the SOURCE-RUINER-GONZO, but the cool, sleek, new age Gonzo that's making cool things.

The Gonzo staff in question was largely responsible for making stuff like Gurren Lagann and putting in a lot of quirky animation that flows really well and has a very distinctive style.

And hell yes to Gonzo-isms in the new episode. Can't wait for the subs!

I belive that was Gainax who did Gurren Laggan.

And it also seems that Gainax took over episode 27. I mean......damn

But yes, this was not script-ruiner-gonzo, but kick-ass-animation-gonzo....if it really WAS gonzo.

The new OP was pretty good, but the new ED.....was kick ass.

Bloody Hyoubu, black-winged Kaoru, serious Minamoto........damn.

(Not to mention being all grown up ). Not a bad episode but the dolphin old guy was as bland as cardboard. He showed no emotions at all and "died" just like that. Good riddance I say.
