Judging from the second last panel, looks like Tanaka bowed his head into his chest, and took most of the force with his shoulderblades and neck. The question mark at the end makes me think Tanaka isn't dead and the blood is exaggerated to fool us.

So finally Clark Kent found his happy ending with his family. Good for him, he is no longer alone.
And when I thought Ryuuto and Rimi would follow him on his travel to heaven, Berserker interfered and took them back. With the story processing like this, I think Rimi may be saved by Akisame somehow.

The chapter was ok, glad the "amusement park battle" is over, Tanaka is finally together with his family ... but I never knew a ghost can give birth

and Berserker looks strong, probably stronger than Kenichi at this moment

So, Tanaka is dead and I'm pretty much convinced that Yami are the true antagonists of the series. Between Ogata and Saiga, the members of Yomi are completely overshadowed. Yami fights have been far more emotion and impactful to the story than anything Yomi has done in 300 chapters.

Too bad Kenichi and Shinpaku will never be fighting these people. I think Matsuena really screwed things up when he wrote himself into a corner with Yomi. Fights like this make it really hard to believe that the disciples are anywhere near as important as the Masters.

blah they're just going to use this as the trigger to PL kenichi to 9000 and call it good. He'll become master class just like Tanaka's wife was the trigger for him. The next few arcs will be getting Yomi on his side so Kenichi can start fighting Yami...

We can't really say he wrote himself into a corner because we have no idea how the author will proceed. If it was obvious how Kenichi will adjust to all of this then the story would just be boring.

Ofcourse even if there is a way to boost Kenichi up to par with the masters, many will just call it a deuce ex machina ... even though they would still be using the term wrong.
