...down on the battle at the end of ep3? Not that it thrilled me exactly, but it was entertaining and had some tension. I'm not going to play the game, but what other recent anime have battles that put this so much to shame that it becomes ridiculous?

And that was something like an old broomstick from the rubbish pile being used as a practice sword, not a bat, wasn't it?

I've liked the fact that we were thrown directly into the action and are being gradually introduced to the concepts and the characters as we go on. The frequent pantsu, while not exactly off-putting, have seemed a little weird. Is this normal in anime or games of this kind? Or is it just the fashion of the last half of 2009?

Because the battle was totally watered down perhaps?

Im liking the premise so far i like the fact we jump into battles without knowing everything but as we go bits and pieces are reveled and as the characterization progresses accordingly. I especially liked the history surrounding Misuzu (btw the school uniform fits her so well i know it random lol) i had no idea her past would be that tragic and it seems there is still more to her (glowing symbol on her arm) I must say i love the fact that she access to 5 different swords all kept within her. Not a lot of development but solid progression.


As for the fight scene i was not impressed nor was i really excited about it. I have not played the game nor do i care nor will i play the game till the anime is over. I felt the fight was rushed. The fight between Misuzu and Gura was underwhelming i figured given how strong the guy was it would be a brutal knock down fight. But she got slapped around few times then was saved because Gura got knifed in the back and it was over and i didnt even blink.

Kakeru got a lot of exercise by running around, i understand his powers have not menifested yet but i felt the running was dragged on for too long. I did like the traning scenes with him till he decided he wanted a quick power boost instead of actual traning. I understood his reason he wanted to protect Yuka but the way it was portrayed it seemd very childish.

im liking the series so far lot of questions I cant wait to get the answers too and im liking the characters as well.

The Index Librorum Prohibitorum was around long before it appeared in the form of a blue-haired girl in a nun outfit. It's more of a public domain artifact, if anything.

As for the second point, if you want a clue just using the information you already have, think about how the Japanese say Western names, and play around with the name they called him. See what you come up with... It'll likely be more apparent in later episodes, I'm sure.

Really? I think she's a bit too clingy, and she doesn't live with him like Kaede from Shuffle. In fact, from what I know from the game, it goes overboard later. (don't know exact details though)

Can't really say the plot was any better than the previous episode, but the random pantsu shots are as existent as ever.
Running out of budget? Saving budget? Don't know, but the scene where Glasses was touching Yuka's breasts wasn't moving. Yet strangely, there was SE...
It looks like the battle with the pyrokinesis guy reused a few shots in the same episode too.

- Love the part where Yukiko changed from Moe >>> Killer.
- From her abilities, (Speed + regeneration) She is "Assassin" class in RPG game.
- The action in this ep. are better than other Red nights.
- Kukuri , the last girl who will join the group according to the OP havn't appear yet. (Kakeru kept her note from the end of second ep. in his room)

- The Black Knight surely get downgraded. I hope the same doesn't happen to "the last boss"
- I wonder when will they show Kukuri in the anime. I hope it not later than ep6. I'm not sure what are they trying to do with Kukuri but, the good thing is she will (I think) have the big role like in the game. (Kukuri's end please ^^)

Ah, the school club. Always a good cover for why wildly different people are hanging out a lot for vague purposes. Though from Yukiko's initial greetings, you'd think it's more like the SOS Dan. Yuka's getting felt up quite a lot. Nice fight scenes, and some funny moments, such as the Saiko-sensei chase scene and Tadashi running face first into a telephone pole. Nice work, Shiori.

Next week looks to be a pivotal moment. Especially from the episode title.
