Never played the game.
But, as of now, because... She faints at little things, clearly isn't suited to fight in a war, etc. YET she still tags along and joins the army (and before that, the militia or whatever it was called).

She was in the Bruhl Town Watch, and has now joined the Militia.

She has some cute factor but... you same as you I dislike her because of her abilities from the game...

Long story short: the girl is basically cute/moe bait, probably bordering on sugary moeblob territory.

I mean, you can find a lot of comparable characters in the story, but it's understandable why others wouldn't be into such a character when others are actually more, you know... useful.

Personally, I don't hate her but there are so many other characters who are much better in the game—not to mention, who would've been better for the anime than her—that I just didn't care.

Imperials come closer for an easy score, into the sights of the sniper nest >_<

If they knew any better they would frag this honey trap and run the other way. I suspect it hasn't happened because it just leaves no survivors

I wouldn't call it an antiqued tank. It looked like the current Gallian service model we see in the game, especially in the hands of the Royal Guard.

I just think it was neglected in the militia's hands whether due to a lack of funding or qualified service personnel.

Overall though yes the man was brave, more balls than brains though. If he had listened to Isara he and his driver might have still been alive.

Still, I cheered when they destroyed the light tank. The animation was great. The back of the turret exploded very dramatically. Even how they met their end looked great.... If you get what I mean without sounding like a weirdo.

Noticed the Edel had twin heatsinks [blue glowing panels] in the rear as compared to the basic Gallian and Imp tank. Maybe this Iron girl is a closet Gundam with Twin Drives system

Having Susie apart of the main cast towards the start doesn't have much to do with her being cute and all that (though i was waiting for someone to suggest it). She's there to break the balance so to speak --- instead of having every character ready to fight, there's one that's completely opposite, and they'll use that to add a bit more realism into the story. I don't agree with the amount of hate people generate for her, though it's only natural to hate. A shame, really.

After watching the ending I think there's going to be a few awkward moments between Largo and Jann...
