Anyways, what are the grounds for a ban, aside from the most common forum violations?

Why? is that how other forums label temporary bans?
Lots of things are considered in each case. What leads to the ban of member A can be completly different from what gets member C the same treatment. Some members can go through years of warnings and infractions before getting the hammer, while others can't manage to stay around for more than a week.

I think he's referencing the nomenclature used on IRC chat rooms. Even then it doesn't really seem correct to call it a kick since those usually allow a person to reenter immediately afterwards. A tempban would be the appropriate IRC parallel.

From the perspective of the user he/she will only be able to see his own posts/threads while banned and only answer to pms though the message settings I believe are default vB settings rather then what you normally get. Obviously you can logout to actually view the forum while your account is banned.

I can't connect my Nexus 7 to XP because XP can't install the drivers on its own, so I downloaded them and did it manually.
The set I took from XDA and developers.android don't work. They're not complete. I've actually already been able to download the right set once before, but that was on someone else's laptop an hour and a half from here by plane. I can't remember exactly where I downloaded that or even the search terms I used. Has anyone had success connecting a Nexus 7 to XP? How is that?
