I'm not normally a big fan of Chamaro or Aka for various reasons, but I have to give them props for these two cosplays:

Chamaro as Bakemonogatari's Hanakawa.
Aka as Konata from Lucky Star.

I'm still unsure whether I think the photographer went overboard with cranking the blue saturation levels in Aka's set.

The Harlock team with me third from left. Yes, hardly a cosplay for me but then again it was easy to dress like Eiji ... and you probably don't even know him so don't bother.

Bah she shoulda done Lacus.

More photo of said Yuki cosplay are available at these two links:
http://mpzerocos.exblog.jp/7601490/
http://mpzerocos.exblog.jp/7737031/

The model goes by the name Ibara... she's one of my favourites and she's also done two other rendition of Yuki:
http://mpzerocos.exblog.jp/7983405/
http://mpzerocos.exblog.jp/8026197/

I'm also very fond of these two cosplays of Yuki:
http://mrsktokei.exblog.jp/11765799/
http://mpzerocos.exblog.jp/8754433
particularly since I actually have a figure of Yuki in that last outfit.

That said, I have yet to find anything I'd call a perfect Yuki cosplay, simply because I don't think I've ever seen anyone nail the right facial expression and pose for her.

Serika Kawasumi as Strike Witches' Lynette Bishop:
Not safe for work due to panties.

I really have to give credit to anyone who is willing to wear animal ears and thighighs but not pants in public for the sake of cosplay.

Thread necromancy!

I've seen a number of really nice looking shoots from Japan this month... let's start off with Yuuri Hasui as the first Horo to feature on MPZero:

http://mpzerocos.exblog.jp/12570323/

And a really cute rendition of K-On's Azusa by Utsuro:
http://mpzerocos.exblog.jp/12570393/

There's also a nice set of Railgun cosplayers at the end of De Die in Diem's December 30th post (the Mio is that set is pretty nice too):

http://yuuroan.exblog.jp/12575472/

Would be nice if they linked up with the Uihara cosplayer from this post some time.

More to come.

Oye... yeah that took a lot of guts.... hmmm, not the greatest of cosplay though mostly because I think the ears/tail needs work.

Now that is a really good bit of Horo cosplay.... very nicely done and cute. The Mio you point out later is good... we had a local girl do a really good job of Mio at our local anime con. I'd provide an image but not sure about the rights on the photo yet.

I'm not sure what the Azusa cosplayer thought she was doing with the eyebrows there... the rest looks okay.

I found 2 of my costumes on ebay for at least half off the price of other websites. You should try there.

Until someone gets her deadpan expression, they will always look like a Yuki Nagato that is very emotional human as opposed to a Logical sentient AI lifeform.

I kind of figure that Yuki is one of the characters nobody is going to get right (Disappearance version aside).

I have a bad habit of assuming that I can post pictures online if the cosplayer agreed to let me take them - about the only people are the ones who I know or at least trade e-mails with outside of the a convention setting.

I'm still wondering how the Horo cosplay got her tail to stand up for the last shot.

Anyway, a few more. First, Ami as "Tacos" from Saki (I'm too lazy to look up her actual name) and Yui from K-On.

I'm not familiar with the characters of the Shuffle franchise aside from the anime's core characters, so I don't actually know who Megumi Natsume is cosplaying here. However, said cosplay involves putting twintails on a cosplayer whom I consider to have very good posing skills and the cutest face in the cosplay scene, so I consider it a must see. Especially the third pic, which doesn't come quite as close to depicting death by moe as some of her cosplays have, but is definitely up there.

Then again, it appears that lots of people cosplay as mechas nowadays:

:O, now THAT is not fail

and thanks for the Rep person, My post you repped me on was hardly serious. very awesome cosplaying chick.

Just think of going back as a Samurai in Edo during the fudal era.

You would rule all Nihon as the ultimate Daimyo.

Just the sight of you.

People like Nobonaga would have nightmares about you.

Until they start coying your armour of course.... then they would level up.
