They do have a firm control over the narrative. An example: The flashback to the academy where they were talking about the weapons, combined with Makoto (Squirrel Girl) linking that to the sattelite attack... It wasn't like that in the game, as far as I recall. But they picked things from here and there and added a pinch of exposition... without wasting time.

Yeah, they know what they're doing. (If only it were a bit more engaging on the emotional level.)

Another change they made makes me think that we might be seeing a certain character in the next episode, which might mean that they'd highlight that concept...

Well things are getting very interesting. I hope to see Lambda-11 more later as she is my favorite in Blazblue.

It's getting interesting how the story is taking a bit of a different turn.

Looks like they finally got rid of that horrible clip show OP.

I still have no idea who all these people are or what the heck is going on.

I can't bring myself to hate it though, and I still find myself watching it for some reason.

No they're not exactly the same, Nu/Lambda are shorter and have larger breasts than Noel.

but Ars Magus is a different term from Archenemy
IIRC, Archenemies are the Nox Nyctores while Ars Magus is the art of manipulating Seithr.
Ars Armagus is a higher form of this, but requires tremendous amounts of Seithr. So with that in mind, they created weapons. And some of these were special ones which we came to know as the Nox Nyctores

The pacing is a little confusing but it was much better now. I'm glad Ragna's injuries were healed thanks to the hot springs trip that Rachel suggested. The girls are really seducing in swimsuits even though Taokaka still keeps hearing her hoodie to hide her true face. There's also two new characters introduced this episode, one of them being Platina. Her voice really made me think she must be an entity with a multi-layered personality. I was a little surprised to see Nu-13 being reborn, but we will see where they will do to her.

- First appearances of Tager, Platinum and Lambda.
- They are already using Chrono Phantasma's soundtrack, as Kokonoe's theme is heard.
- This has a swimsuit portion... don't ask why XD
- We get to see Litchi getting drunk... don't ask why again XD
- We get a bit of Luna's trash-talk to Ragna... although the game's version is much better and longer.
- Ok, this is new: Ragna meets Trinity Glasfield and she tells him not to fight Terumi. Not only does Ragna never have the chance to meet her, but in the game, it's Rachel who warns him first.
- There is no fight at all... but then again, in the games it's 10 hours of dialogues for 1 hour of gameplay so...

I don't know what's the hatred about the anime, but so far I like it. Maybe Mori is trying to stir into another direction that would fit a 12 or 13-episode run better than a 10-hour long story mode. You got to admit that if the ENTIRE story of BlazBlue would have been made into an anime, it would have taken at least 5 seasons... and that's only for Calamity Trigger alone.
