I really love the ending version of "Tsubasa wo Kudaisai". Din't feel anything on first heard, but it grew on me.
Btw, just want to mention, if you are enjoying Nichijou's randomness, may check out the 4-mins-per-episode Double-J. Also found it quite hilarious

Finally had the time to pull up episode 14.
OP: Wow, I don't know what just hit me. I'll have to go back and look at it again... The episode: Nice, best Nichijou episode I've watched for a while! This might be the first time I'm actually interested enough to look forward to the next episode, instead of leaving it as a watch-later like I've been doing up until now. ED: Tsubasa wo Kudasai! Like many of you here, first time I've heard of this song was when the K-ON! girls covered it. OP again: You know, this is growing on me... OP yet again: ..... ..... .... OP for the xxxth time...: CAN'T STOP WATCHING SAKAMOTO TAPPING OUT LIKE A PRO WRESTLER IN AN ANKLE LOCK!!! |

The new OP is crazy adictive. I found some on Youtube that spliced looped it about three or four times for addiction purposes (less times needing to press play while doing something else.)
I hope episode 15 can keep the momentum going.

Agreed that op2 is better than op1
I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, but Sakamoto, Hakase and Nano still steal the show for me almost every single time they show up on screen.

Took me about 10 watches to completely like the 2nd OP. The 1st one only took me like 1. :P
And ED hit me so hard. Once I heard that song, I was like, "OH SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE- this is incredible that they even picked this song." The ep itself was funny as well. |

Nano has everything she needs to be a robot that fights for justice. The rocket boots at least. I'm not sure how functional her other components would be. But it's something to look into. She just needs a function to disguise herself. Add a mask over her eyes, enlarge the bosom a little, add a bit more armor...
Yuuko, Yukko, Aioi...robots don't drink oil. They drink alcohol. Just call it "imported juice" if you want to get past the censors. After all, tranquilizers made it onto the show. Of all the crazy mad scientists this season (the Professor, Tsukuru Kagaku, Crazy Mad Scientist Kyouma Hououin, PhD.), Nakamura is easily a contender for craziest and most mad sciencey. At least the "mad" part. The duel of the "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH?"s was great as well. Drawing eyes onto someone only works if you're a daruma doll. And even that may not work (see Nichijou for references). Also, it looks like, even though that song kicked us off last week (in a bit of oddly coincidental timing for me), this week was another old song covered by the Shinonome trio. Oh dear. We've entered into Sora no Otoshimono. PANTSU ROBO NANO, FORMATION COMPLETE. |

Kyoani should really just have their own staff write the episodes. I think this is the first time Taichi Ishidate wrote an episode, and he did very well.
Lots of characters covered this time around, my favorites include Nakamura using Short-Circuit-kun on Mohawk boy, and Nano blasting her bean-gun at Hakase. Lots of new shorts this time around too. The Nano-Hakase dance was adorable. Nichijou seem to be on a roll lately. The last 3 episodes have all been amazing.

Not script related but both episodes which were directed by Kigami was a blast. Script wise animation wise. I dunno if it was just the skit given to him was just so genuinely funny or he just worked around it so well. Either way with him in charge animation budget is splurged gracefully. |

But with good voice acting and animation it takes it to a different level, see Takasaki vs Annaka. |
