I had the same impression as everyone else the first timeI saw it, totally seed/destiny. But then I came to a realization... Otome staff/Mina-chan WTFPWNBBQed seed staff/Nami!

Now will they toss a new ed in all of a sudden, that follow the seed/destiny scrolling ed's? xD

RENA FTW!! She looks utterly BADASS in the op, and I love the morphing transition into Arika.

And another thing... seed/destiny ops spoiled AT LEAST 15 episodes. It looks like this one spoiled 17... and maybe a couple others lol.

Well, took me while to post this, but Crystal Energy was quite bland as a song...I mean, I cant even remember the tune/feel of the song. And good songs dont have that problem.

Not enough impact for an OP song. Ratings: 5/10.

I recommend turning the volume up a little next time (read as: turn up a freakin lot). I had the opening going round and round in my head (well, the first bit) until I listened to the Tekken 5 opening song and now thats going around in my head. Not that I find it surprized that Tekken replaced Otome in my mind.. the opening is the most addictive I have heard for any game. I find the new OP a LOT better than the old one (read as: one hell of a lot better.).

Sunrise must have actually listened to the complaints of fans from the last season, and made sure that a more sombre, less happy and more serious sounding opening theme was crafted to match the darker and less upbeat direction of the story.

^ dude, I think you linked to the wrong one though it has that image.

This is the correct page for the CD Single. Guess Amazon dropped the ball in putting the wrong image for the wrong album. That one goes to Magikano's ED Single "Maji suki MAGIC" by Clover.

I like the song. I certainly is different from the first OP. And what makes it interesting this is the first in the 'Mai' series that you got a different OP come the 2nd half of the series.

And I like the part where there is a part of the verse rhymes with 'energy'.

Lets just say that the BGM was not exactly "energetic" enough for me....say, something like Ignited of GSD which had alot of energy going in the BGM.

For Crystal Energy, it was like....a fast pace song, with a rather soft singing/vocals....comparatively to Shining Days for Mai Hime, which had energy + headstrong singing.

Or maybe Im just missing my daily dosage of drummers in the BGM.

The second song on the single, Kaze to Hoshi ni Dakarete actually sounds more interesting. Somehow it sounds like it could come from GSD or Shana.
