I was wondering when I would see a thread for Ikkitousen... and with another season about to be, I fear once more... honestly, the biggest thing that turns me off from this series is that it's always the girls kicking ass while the guys are either wimps/assholes, the two types of guys I absolutely hate in anime

but, if there's going to be anime of guys being GAR, and this gets subbed... then I might watch it (hell, I needed Sengoku Basara to get through QB)

Anyway...

Nice start for the series. Not SO focused on fanservice (at least not SO intentionally, lol) and actually uses a bit of story and action.

As many others do, already love Bachou and can't wait to see the others next episode.

First episode is pretty good. Nice set-up for things to come, and i await to see what the story will bring next.

Best part of the episode was the pretty epic recap of manga material, though seeing the ending of the second season reminded me how poor it was. Still, it's funny how the third series is being completely missed out.

And yet, despite not showing recaps of Great Guardians, they still show Chuubou and (the real) Saji in the ED animation, lol.

The episode itself was good. I liked the overview of the story so far. The ending featured almost all the girls including dead-ones which was kind of nostalgic.

But the animation itself was very bad. Throughout the ep I felt I was watching some fanmade video. Really badly drawn and animated characters. I don't know if the DVD/Blue ray will be better like Birdy decode 2nd season.

Anyway lets hope that the story will be good for such a series (fanservice and all).

Fanservice nonwithstanding, I always loved the storyline of Ikkitousen. Though, I do have to agree with Ichiban Hayai that the animation was not the best. However, I do love fanservice (<3 Kanu).

Can we have this thread moved to the 'Current Series' section? To my surprise and joy, the first episode already aired and subbed.

Have yet to watch this episode, but I hear there's no censoring involved.

Why should censoring should be an issue when ALL Ikkitousen fans watch this show for its GrEaT story.. Food for thought.

I watch ikkitousen for 3 things. Story, the girls and fanservice!

Probably they left out the 3rd season since it's pretty much a filler season, which 2 new characters are just introduce.

Mouki's intro in ep.1 great! She's now one of my favorite characters.

Ep 1 was awesome. Granted, it was missing Kanu, but it was still awesome.

Anyone else notice the Atari 2600 Pac Man on the handheld?

The ED anime is quite good. Not ecchi, but introduces the new and old characters from the old season the the new.

It's a decent ED, though it feels pretty unfinished if you get what i mean. Like it isn't the actual ED for the series.

Anyone else agree with me that Bachou Mouki is gonna be the main character in this season? And from the next ep preview, plus given the plot in the other Romance of the Three Kingoms inspired series, it looks like she's gonna team up with Ryubi's group (and that also means Kanu will have frequent appearances as well).
