Mai Otome only just introduced a new opening, and that was episode 16 of 26. And ANN still have this listed as 26 episodes, so I don't personally believe that'll be the case. Though more Shana would certainly not be a bad thing

I wouldn't be too sure about that as My Otome had its new op in episode 16 and that should be a 26 episode series. Quite a few sites list Shakugan no SHANA as having 26 eps too though AndrewLB's site mentions it having 2 seasons. Very confusing to say the least...
EDIT: Looks like i posted the same as Radiosity. It was not intentional ^^; |

Hrm, youve been on quite an Anti-J rampage lately it seems . Anyway I was still curious why you thought shana was an orphan before wilhelmina picked her up... unless you responded somewhere and I just missed it. |

Just got my extras DVD in the mail today. (whew, guess Amazon decided to ship it after all...)
I have to say that Shakugan no Shana-tan gave me the impression that the staff REALLY wanted to goof off, especially poking fun at Shana's famous triple-utterance and Kazumi's "it must be a coincidence, right??" The multitude of eyecatches also got me reeling in laughter. It's also kind of interesting that there's a "typo" in the interview video where they wrote someone's name wrong. They even put in an errata slip for it in the DVD case The music video for the OP was the same as the one on the OP single, except there's an extra subtitle at the bottom in the end with copyrights and stuff. The ED music video was pretty neat and I think was featuring footage not used in the show, but may have been used in the promo DVD. I'm kind of disappointed by the Naze Nani Shana since there's almost like no animation at all of chibi-Friagne and Marianne and they both looked kind of having the wrong aspect ratio. Furthermore, it seemed to be a lot less informative than what I was hoping. Also, the commercials were pretty much the same, except for the airing time since they were just the different ones used for the various TV stations. |

I think this show will be no more than 26 episodes because they were able to cram in a whole novel volume in just one of the Aizen twins' episodes. If it were different those story parts would have taken their time in the anime. But an OVA would be a nice addition to the series.

Shakugan no Shana episode 14 6:50-7:05: Alastor: And she was an orphan baby we took in on a whim. Wilhelmina: The misfortune was an accident. My being there was an accident, as well. It was also an accident that there was nowhere else for her to go but this Tendou-kyu.

Hrm, I didnt hear the word for orphan, perhaps the person who made that transcript may have paraphrased it in. "orphan" would lead me to think she had lost or been abandoned by her parents for some time, and then had no relatives to live with. If they had just be killed at the time, then it would be too early to call her an orphan. |
