Dengeki Bunko Discussion Thread [Light Novel Imprint]

We have the KyoAni, JcStaff and PaWorks discussion thread in the General Anime thread so I think for the LN readers and fanatics I think a thread like this is a must have.

Dengeki Bunko (電撃文庫) is a publishing imprint affiliated with the Japanese publishing company ASCII Media Works (formerly MediaWorks).

Currently dengeki bunko seems dominating the Light Novel world with it's vastly popular titles (Sword Art Online, Index, Oreimo, etc.)

This thread is created to discuss some of the news, topics, newest and old releases/d under these imprint that has no specific thread.

For those LN readers who knew some titles that's never been popular but under this imprint who wants to people be enlightened good or bad, or anything that you want to suggest that have to do under this LN imprint, feel free to do so.

With they recent string of success you have to admit, they sure are 'lucky' with their picks.

*nod* Most talked series can be found in this one..

Though I'm curious for the next series from this imprint "Strike the blood" will it become one of the more talked-about series again

I imagine there are some exceptions, but does the AMW/Dengeki producers and such are fans of Valve ?
I mean, this anime series you love will never get a third season.

Dengenki already famous for their picks since long ago, so i thinks that getting an anime is not going to be long, at most about 2-3 years.

Shana has a third season and technically speaking, the Raildex series has four seasons to date.

But I suppose it's more of a case of the Anime just being used as a glorified advertisement- No point spending more on it if you have reached the saturated levels of fanbase. Though you can bet a show like SAO would have at least two more seasons...

...Then again, Haruhi didn't...>_>

Haruhi and Spice & Wolf.
Magdala will be green-lit before we see Holo animated again, if that will ever happen.

Edit:
From what i can understand from dengeki website, there's a BIG announcement incoming in 10/6
So if you were in the shoes of a producer what adaptation would you announce ?

Mahouka
Game Sensou
Murabito A
Heavy Object (dream)
Hakomari
Index S3

I might be biased, but seeing as how this year has been all Raildex good stuff, I would say finish it off with a Season Three announcement.

Mahouka might seem a bit out of nowhere, but it's certainly a big possibility after the success of SAO, but at the same time it's because of the success of SAO they aren't exactly hurting for a new series just yet.

It should be noted that I am just spitballing here and have no idea if any of this is even remotely true

I guess...they're holowing all the recent popular series.

Also, I'm hoping to see more promotion for 'Tomorrow I'll die, and you'll be Reborn'. (And Magdala)

With the runaway success of SAO, Mahouka should certainly be in the works somewhere.

PS: Am I allowed to create a Biblia thread somewhere?

Haruhi isn't from dengeki bunko, it's from kadokawa sneaker bunko.

I think that the fact that dengeki bunko is very prolific (and seem to put quite a good amount of money in advertising their series as well?) is due to the fact that they have several really successful titles. It allows them to have enough room for trying lot of new titles, hence they again have more chances than most other publisher to get a new popular series on their hand.

Weren't they the ones picking up all the successful net novels and commercialising them? Seems a bit rigged to me.
