Never having gotten that deep into the manga, I can honestly say the way the whole Mikage scenario played out was...surprising.

I don't understand the collar thing at all. It was placed there by ayami to control teito's powers and now it has something to do with frau?

When Frau tried to take it off, he got bitten by the collar (yes, the freaking thing is alive. ), which draws his blood and names him master of the person wearing that collar - in this case, Teito.

Ya'll will see what Frau can do with the collar. It's quite fun, and the source of a lot of fanfics, I'm sure.

Anyway.

Spoiler for Episode 9:

I just went and watched the first episode because :

-I just seen Hetalia by Studio Deen and wanted to know have they improved since FMwS
-Bishies, the art looks prweety~
-Code Geass like school uniform
-Couple of seiyuus that I'm interested

Namakawa Daisuke has once again surprised me, I thought he did REALLY well on voicing two Italies in Hetalia. He still got a 3rd voice, but this voice is more like his normal talking voice. The other voices fit perfectly, all the seiyuus did their job well. The music was typical, but it matches the mood. Animation feels slightly above average, so I ain't complaining. The art style might look a bit typical, looks exactly the type of show for fujoshis to slash, but it's still pretty.

Spoiler for Opinions of episode 1:

Overall comment, it kind of switches between guilty pleasure and something that is watchable.

Episode 9: Wow, I was totally expecting this (since I read the manga) but I still became teary eyed when Mikage died. Mikage's ending was better done in the anime than the manga. I guess dragging out the Mikage arc really made his end a tragic one.

The scene with Frau and the collar is absolutely hilarious. So love Frau!!

Ah, I know dragon!Mikage is cute in the manga but the anime just amped the cute-o-meter up ten times.

I'm almost afraid now that everytime I watch a future episode I'm going to be distracted by the bundle of cuteness.

But I agree, his end was better played in the anime, so dragging the arc out did serve a purpose. Now I'm not as depressed anymore, lol.

totally agree with that. I don't remember there's a coloured version of the little Mikage in the manga though? Never expected it to be pink! (and such cute voice too)

He's pink on all the official scans, and the cover of volume 3, and probably every cover he appears on after that.

Now that I think about it, pink is an odd colour for him to be, maybe they're trying to tell us something.

Yeah, I thought he was supposed to be yellow so when I saw the first picture of him as PINK! I was wondering if the scanner messed up.
Oh and, as some people have said in the spoilers, apparently his name now is Burupya. I have no idea why his name is that except for the reason that when Tetio first meets him he goes "Burupya!" It's official, Mikage has been reincarnated as a pokemon. XD

On a similiar note, I'll point this out again: the inner cover of volume 6, the only inner cover that is out of the pattern......

You mean this one?

Spoiler for to save space:

On another note, episode 9 pretty much reveals who Ayanami truly is. Can't remember if the manga revealed it that quickly.

And this Frau sig is up for adoption to anyone who wants it.

I don't know what everyone else think about vol 6 inner cover, but to me, that is only a more desaturated version of the real color

(I mean, I still can see the traces of the pink... And maybe this is only me but entirely, Teito's face look more desaturated than the original. Personally the technique is used to fit the overall atmosphere of the image But that's just two cents from me, either way.)

I totally agree. I can still see the pink on dragon!Mikage quite clearly.

Well in episode 10 Burupya continues to look absolutely adorable (even if his design seems to change every few shots...). And it looks like we might meet another of the series main characters next episode, I'm sure some of the people here will be happy.
