But it is the relatively understated and downright smart script and acting that turns this from merely a good action film to a truly great genre experience. And I can't stress enough just how much fun it is to see mostly realized female characters stand on equal footing with the supremely masculine Judge Dredd. What a wonderful surpise of a film. 80/100.
It's easy to forget that this film, despite it's campy premise, is directed by the award winning Danny Boyle. The same guy who directed Slumdog Millionaire.

After the Olympics, it would seem that Boyle can do no wrong, joining in the ranks of Nolan and Scott.

Probably because the white helmet would be too easy to notice and shoot at.
Because they don't want to hide the eye candy. Better than giving her a skin tight version which would killed the movie. and thankfuly the femme fetal actually looks fuckin bad ass and evil. Not that crap from Savages.

So, does Judge Dredd in this movie is portrayed as fascist as they say in the comic?

Dredd - 78% Rotten Tomatoes Index

Resident Evil: Retribution - 27 % Rotten Tomatoes Index

There are so many ways Dredd could have gone wrong.

I'm definitely on with this film. They're taking back the Dredd character back to his roots from the comic not the Hollywood-esque that the Stallone fiasco was 16-years ago.
