For Nohohon - She hangs out at the student council room right? Irish has to also since he can't really roam around the school so the two will strike up a bit of an odd relationship. She makes him addicted to fullmetal panic and Irish takes Sousuke's example and starts hiding more weapons under his clothes. Nice job breaking it hero

Side note - How can you say she wears skimpy clothes? Her clothes are the baggiest among all the cast, disregarding Laura's pants.

At least Irish will learn to use non-lethal weapon....which used a loophole In I.S. academy rules (where self defense non-lethal weapon such as Pepper Spray, or plain wooden sword is allowed)

Sousuke DO carry less lethal weapon after Kaname chewed him for using gun and explosive unnecessarily, sometimes Kaname used it. I'm not kidding....it's in Fummofu, where comedy >> Drama. And there's no serious antagonist in sight, all his gun also loaded with plastic and rubber shell, and he's using a bear-shaped power armor...



It's also mass-produced, and used by Sousuke's 'underlings' (a group of Yakuza he trained with SWAT grade tactic)

He only watched season 1. You know, the season full of seriousness and Yandere stalker Gauron? Sousuke wasn't exactly subtle in that season.

Side note - So she wears skimpy clothing under her baggy clothes right? The only reason he can tolerate hanging out with her is because most of her female features are obscured by her baggy clothing. Cue Irish tripping and landing face first on her "landmines" This applies to Laura as well. She acts very tomboyish and looks flat with her uniform so he can ignore it.

Kaname of all people carries her own assortment of nonlethal weapon in third season, basically even darker than the first.

Basically: These two could be trapped in a sauna with all their clothes off and they'd STILL ignore each other. Both are pretty similar so they're both all business when they're together. They look like a couple though since she's the only girl he has no problem making physical contact with at first. (There's Rin, but he avoids her due to the Yandere aura)

Side note- Damn! You weren't kidding when you said skimpy! Irish's gonna be trapped in Marshmallow hell for a while there! It'd make him have an anti-heroic BSOD

When Laura came back she found Ichika sleeping on the ground next to the door. He must’ve been more tired than he let on.

“Ichika, wake up.” She shook him gently but he refused to wake up.

“5 more minutes, I don’t wanna go to school yet.” He mumbled softly before going back to sleep.

Laura sighed softly. This idiot had been causing trouble for her the entire day and, oddly enough, she didn’t really mind it. She actually had.....fun.

As she looked at his face, she saw his lips were parted slightly, inviting her to take them in hers. She was tempted to lean in and-

‘WAAAAAAAH!’ Realizing what she was about to do, she promptly did what any girl in her situation would do: Run around like a headless chicken.

‘What’s wrong with me!? Am I sick? Did I get injured and receive a mental illness?’ She thought in a panic.

The answer was simple. Any person could see this young girl was experiencing the one thing that would change her forever.

She was falling in love.

Balance with Having Tatenashi x Kyuukai, or maybe it's just Tatenashi being herself (?). Not only Laura, but Kanzashi will be pissed.

Both of them (TatenashixKyukai and IrishxLaura) is what people 'convenient' pairing, where similarities in their own self (physical appearance & personality between Irish and Laura) or situation (how Kyuukai and Tatenahsi are very popular) makes chemistry.

This is NOT necessarily from reader's or writer's perspective (although some reader tend to ship them anyway).

It's mostly from characters around them. For example, Nohonhon teased Irish and Laura for looking like chibi couple when they're together. Or that most student Ship Tatenashi x Kyuukai.

This tend to happen in real life too.

All writer need a break whether they're forced (work, illness, exhaustion etc) or just plain bored/ has no drive.

And before that, there's also 'final' battle' of Sacred Twins. Yep, some writer did just that, planning ahead.

@ Zero - The reason they fall in love with their respective partner is because they try to coax them out of their shell.

Irish and Laura don't try to do that to each other. They know the other has issues but they don't go out of their way to try to get the other to open up. How will they do so anyway? They're so similar that any attempt at comforting the other would look hypocritical.

Hell, Irish is basically a genderbent, darker version of Laura. Pale skin, white/silvery hair and even eye color (Laura's golden eye.). The VT system could be likened to the skull suit. An all black suit that covers the wearer and gives them extra strength at the cost of their health.

The striking difference between them however is that Irish is a Badass normal. Just a regular guy who learned everything through experience, while Laura's a Badass Abnormal. She was implanted with various nanomachines/implants that increase her aptitude, combined with her being genetically engineered to be the perfect soldier.

Side note - BSOD

Irish: *Rocking back and forth* It was horrible! It felt like I was being sucked in, that I could never breath again. I feel...tainted.

Hopefully. You have to remember that IS is a harem comedy. Most of them go to the archive to look for stories of romance or humor. Serious stories aren't very popular to begin with. Look at most of the new fics now. They're more serious but get less reviews, parody fics such as Future imperfect or Rising Dragon: Ichika Orimura tend to get more reviews since they grab the audience's attention.

IS in it's core is basically just another Harem Show. Admit it, replace Ichika going to an all-girls school for some reason instead of being the only male IS pilot and we get a show that's 90% the same thing as before.

= Minerva Kai Battle-Armor =

The PRX-01/E Minerva Kai is the refined/refurbished form of the Minerva with the combined efforts of Jinrai Takafumi and the voluntary Tabane Shinonono. The Minerva Kai is permanently integrated with the Vanguard unit’s support boosters and its twin Pitone Railcannons.

The Minerva Kai is powered by the Iwaki Next, the advanced form of the Iwaki Unit which has undergone major improvements by Jinrai using up-to-date IS technology voluntarily provided by Tabane during the 3 months after the events of Athena Bouclier. Basically rebuilt from the ground up, the Iwaki Next now performs almost on par with a genuine IS Core. With its functions and limits tremendously augmented across the board, the Iwaki Next provides the Minerva Kai with up to twice more power compared to the initial Minerva.

The Iwaki Next, like its predecessor form, powers just about everything for the Minerva Kai: Shield, Boosters etc.

The Minerva Kai has its arsenal revised, with some weapons being improved, removed or unchanged:
- Mach Magnus, remains unchanged. It fires shield-penetrating Comet bullets that come in clips. Each clip holds six Comet bullets.
- Ingram Kai, improved version of the Ingram double-barrel rifle which simultaneously fire solid and energy rounds. Re-tuned to fire much more potent energy shots while solid bullet remain unchanged.
- Acre Kai, improved handheld impact rifle. Re-tuned for better shot compression, weaker shots but boasts much more velocity than the Ryuhow on the Shenlong IS.
- Mirage, removed in favor of the TsukiAkari.
- Pitone, twin railcannons, remains unchanged.
- TsukiAkari, a double-bladed lance, remains unchanged. Still retains the ability to split into its individual spear-shaped swords.
- Energy blade emitters concealed in the forearms.

The Fold form still retains, albeit a wee bit more complicated due to its integrated armor.

Other features:
- Overboost, vastly improved in terms of thrust velocity and usage duration.
- Karin, remains unchanged. Various panels on the armor slide open to reveal powerful heat emitters that encase the Minerva in layers of heat. While this system is active, the Minerva gains the capability to manipulate heat to suit offensive/defensive needs. By channeling heat into the Akari blade end of the TsukiAkari lance, it is able to project an even more powerful heat wave which will inflict tremendous damage on the target.

Spoiler for Proioxis:

= Proioxis Battle-Armor =

The PRX-01[PS] Proioxis is an advanced melee-type battle-armor which evolves from the Minerva Kai through Phase Shift, a hidden feature of the Iwaki Next core unit which reforms the battle-armor after Inami goes through several personal combat training sessions with Tsurugi. The visor interfaces also improved, mirroring those of a genuine IS.

The Proioxis is powered by the Iwaki Next, which reforms the performance of the battle-armor to fully utilize its maximum potential, granting it far more superior melee combat capability and five times more power compared to its predecessor units.

As with the Minerva Kai, the Iwaki Next powers just about everything for the Proioxis: Shield, Boosters etc.

Due to Phase Shift, the Proioxis’ arsenal is almost completely different from its predecessors’:
- Lacerta, four identical energy sabers that are stored in inbuilt sheaths on both the Proioxis’ shoulders and knees. Boast deadly cutting potency.
- Agito, inbuilt beam blade emitters on the back of both of the Proioxis’ forearms.
- Aaliyah, inbuilt beam blade emitters on both of the Proioxis’ feet.
- Dreissen, inbuilt tri-barrel cannons concealed within both the Proioxis’ forearms. They can fire either plasma or solid slug rounds. (Or both; One arm firing plasma rounds while the other fires solid slugs)
- Moonlight, the Minerva’s signature TsukiAkari lance, fused as a single, inseparable double-bladed lance. The blades are also pure energy blades instead of its predecessor’s solid ones. The lance also has the capability to project energy waves.

Upon Phase Shift, the Proioxis no longer retains a Fold Form. The unit is stored via Closed Form instead, taking form of an azure pendant that Inami wears around his neck.

Other features:
- Overboost, removed during Phase Shift as the Proioxis’ thrust performance is augmented even further, negating the need for the Overboost.
- Karin, removed/replaced with the Aretha System.
- Aretha, a system that utilizes immense power directly from the Proioxis’ Shield Power to generate a powerful, outwards spherical repulse blast.

Funny thing is, I sketched out the Proioxis before the Minerva Kai.
