the plot...seemingly as dark as it is...and as OOC as it is in a sense...it's still good in spite of this. =D

Today's social awareness subject: Intellectualism vs Anti-Intellectualism. Oh, and selflessness for friendship and all that mushy-mushy stuff. A little overdramatic, perhaps, but human emotions are filled with such overdramaticness. Nevertheless, the love is always nice in the end.

Oh, and watch out for an original duet by Mio and Ritsu after this. I'll post it up after a little while. The song title is: "Both Sides of a Coin."

Chapter Eleven: Intellectualism!

Beyond the peaceful faded of Sakura High School, 8:07 AM, Tainaka Ritsu had finished the first class of the day, and she had just stepped out for a trip to the restroom. Akiyama Mio was late. She was never late. Tenjiru Mosugi was not present in the class as well. Ritsu sighed as she walked down the corridor, just imagining and sniggering at what those two could be up to being together. Being alone together.

After having her little break, Ritsu's return to her class was less amusing due to the appearance of a certain pink-haired senior student that was seen with Nodoka the previous day, now just a distance away from Ritsu.

"Hey, you," called out Ritsu from behind as she paced towards her.

Aniya rotated her vision just a little bit to see the source of the voice, and saw Ritsu stepping in her direction. She kept the angle of her vision, staring coldly from the corner of her eye.

"You were the one who was trash-talking about Mio the other day with Nodoka, weren't you?"

Aniya continued her observation of Ritsu in silence.

"Why did you say those things?"

Aniya turned around completely, confronting Ritsu face to face. She found the question asked to be utterly asinine.

"Why?" she uttered at Ritsu with an arched brow. "Simply because I don't like her, of course. Besides, don't I have the right to voice my opinion? It's not my fault you bunch happen to walk by our conversation."

"I know that… But you were completely wrong about Mio. She's not the hypocrite you made her out to be."

"To each her own," remarked Aniya, lowering her head to untie her bun. "If it isn't hypocrisy, then it's having a weak will. To give in to her emotions, not being strong enough to sacrifice for her future - twice. Tsk. Such a waste."

Tainaka Ritsu was fighting a battle of her own. She composed herself, trying her best not to be enraged by Aniya's disdainful words. Mio needed this.

"I understand," she calmly said, after inhaling another breath to soothe her temper. "The Culture Festival is almost here, and we need Mio to play bassist - no matter what. But, if she becomes available to join the Literature Club in the future, would you please accept her?"

Aniya took one glance at Ritsu, bowing before her, and she felt a taste of disgust in her mouth.

'Pathetic.'

"I'm sorry, it's too late." Aniya began to walk away, shooing Ritsu away like a fly.

"What? Why?!" begged Ritsu, moisture forming across her pupils.

"Because we will not accept someone that takes our club so lightheartedly," answered Aniya, her voice fading in volume as she walked further away. "We are not like your childish Keion Club."

Ritsu rushed forward immediately in desperation.

"But that's unfair!" she exclaimed upon stopping in front of Aniya, blocking her path with two straight palms. "You said it yourself! Mio needs this!"

"Please do not distort my words, Miss Tainaka. I merely stated that she wasn't strong enough to fight for her future, nothing more. Whether if her future would benefit from our club activities, I could not care less."

As Aniya walked round Ritsu's raised arms, Ritsu could not help feeling that it was perhaps a better choice not to have Mio being involved with this stuck-up club president. Yet, what of college? Mio would soon need to head out to the real world. She wondered if Keion was really a future Mio had truly deserved… and if the members of Keion… if herself, deserved Mio.

"Besides," uttered Aniya suddenly by the side of Ritsu's ear as she passed by her, pausing by her side, "she deserve her lesson."

Ritsu swiveled behind immediately. "What gives you people the right to judge how others should be treated?!"

The slight confusion Aniya had in regards to Ritsu's question forced the bright mind she was so proud of to probe. "We… people?" she asked, her head pivoted just enough to stare at Ritsu from her front.

"That's right!" answered Ritsu, pointing at Aniya accusingly. "Be it through brawns or brains, just because you are more capable than other people, you think you can just decide whether if they deserve to be treated like human beings? Don't joke with me!"

"Eh…" muttered Aniya while closing her eyes slowly, forming a mediative expression. "You mean… like you, Miss Tainaka?"

"Eh?" blurted Ritsu with an arched brow.

"You've always decided how Mio should be treated, too, no?" Aniya grinned, turning around to face Ritsu again.

"That's obviously not the same!" defended Ritsu with her eyes shut, her arms kept straight beside her.

"October the 5th, 2008, Tainaka Ritsu seen telling Akiyama Mio scary stories to frighten her," reported Aniya, flipping through a notebook she had suddenly retrieved.

"That… that was because…" stuttered Ritsu, jabbing her index fingers together.

"April 18th, 2009, Tainaka Ritsu seen teasing Akiyama Mio about seeing her flashing her panties again in the Culture Festival."

"That was just teasi-!"

"An argument ensues. Tainaka Ritsu proceeded to exit the Music Room moments after."

"Wait a minute, you were… you were spying on us?"

Aniya diverted her vision from her notebook for a second. "I did a checkup on your activities, yes."

"How could you?"

"January 26th, 2009, Tainaka Ritsu seen frightening Akiyama Mio - again - by holding a centipede by her face."

"I… I didn't mean anyth-"

"Seems like you're quite the sadist yourself."

"I was just trying to-"

"Trying to force Miss Akiyama to break from her shell? Hence you used scare tactics to make a living Hell outta her life? How is that dissimilar from me making Miss Akiyama learn her lesson in the world?"

"That… that wasn't it… it wasn't…"

Ritsu backed against a wall. Denial began consuming her. She reminded herself that she had done everything out of Mio's best interest.

"That's right… I… I did everything for Mio's sake…"

"Or maybe you were just jealous?" commented Aniya, cornering Ritsu. "To make sure she never stands up above you?"

"No! I didn't!" exclaimed Ritsu, clutching her head in fear as she entered the fetal position. "It couldn't be… I didn't… I couldn't have…"

"Perhaps, to make sure that Akiyama Mio will remain as that frightful little girl forever, meant for your amusement?"

"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Naturally, attentions were attracted. Whispers began. People eyed Aniya, immediately assuming her to be the bully in this scene. Aniya could not care less, grinning triumphantly as she walked away from her prey.

"It's Ritsu!" cried out Hirasawa Yui, just arriving at the scene with Azusa and Tsumugi. The sight of their boldest member of the gang clutching in fear was unnerving. "We've got to help her!"

"You're wrong, Algreim."

Aniya was irked - rather surprised, in fact, that Ritsu still had the willpower to defend herself.

Then she realized immediately it was not her voice. She turned around instantly. That grin remained stuck on Aniya's face.

"Miss Akiyama. How good of you to show up just in time to defend your… precious friend."

Akiyama's arrival summoned the cheers of others, especially when her dressing made her look more audacious than anything. From the Left Wing of Sakura High, in the plain white blouse of her uniform, a button unfastened above, her dark blue coat not adorned or anywhere in sight, Akiyama Mio stepped down the corridor towards the Right, with a fierce look of fury burning in her eyes.

"That's right, this is Akiyama Mio's finest hour…"

"Why are you narrating…?" Azusa inquired a guitar-playing Yui. "And are you playing a musical number for Mio-senpai's entrance?!"

"Mio…" uttered Ritsu. The sight of her childhood friend initially meant relief for her. But upon remembrance of Aniya's words, she hid her head away in shame again.

"Ritsu," Mio called out after arriving by her side.

"Mio, you gotta believe me…" she whimpered with her head buried in her arms, tears deluging down her knees. "I never meant to hurt you… I was just… fooling around… I just… I just…"

"I know."

Ritsu looked up. Instead of a reprimanding face of wrath, she saw a warm smile of comfort in front of her.

"Come on, let's get up," she said, holding on tightly to her bestfriend as she helped Ritsu get up on her feet.

"Mio!" Ritsu finally poured herself out on Mio's shoulder, relieved and regretful. Though her sleeve was dyed with utmost moisture in a matter of seconds, Mio gleefully smiled at her friend, putting an arm around her torso to extend her comfort.

Then she swiveled her head in Aniya's direction sharply.

"So this is the melodramatic friendship you left your future behind for. I couldn't be more happier for you, Miss Akiyama. Now, if you'd excuse me…"

'Wham!' A silver metallic bat struck out on the floorboards just barely an inch away from Aniya's feet.

"Oh, I'm sorry," said the person before Aniya, whose bat struck on the floor was the only thing she could focus on as he spoke, "I can't let you leave yet… until you apologize to my friends."

Aniya frightfully ascended her vision from the tip of the bat, up to the face of her attacker. There, she saw the same amount of infuriation in Flare's face - if not even more.

Under hostage and under pressure, she turned around towards Mio unwillingly. Eying at the one who started this whole series of chaotic events, Mio confronted her final demon.

"I could disregard what you said about me… what you assumed me to be. But I can't ignore your denigration of my bestfriend."

Mio caressed Ritsu's head, with Tainaka still crying her heart out by her side, as she continued her speech. "She might be a little childish at times… but I never felt I could get a better friend like her. You should be ashamed for hurting her."

Aniya gave a light shrug. "I merely spoke my mind, Akiyama. It wasn't my fault your friend over there couldn't handle the criticisms of others."

Algreim had told it like it was. In a way, she was right. She had merely voiced out her opinion, albeit harsh ones. Regardless, Mio held Ritsu closer against her. It did not really matter whether if Aniya's words were justifiable - what mattered was that her bestfriend was hurt.

A little shook came to Aniya's head as she gazed down on the two girls clutching helplessly onto each other.

"Look at you, Akiyama. You well surpass in terms of beauty, talent, and intellect against those so-called 'friends' of yours you seek to help. Yet here you are, cleaning their shit for them in the middle of the race. How you could just let your brilliance go to waste… I simply could not understand."

"My brilliance was not something I had wanted." Suddenly, A grimace appeared on Mio's frowning face. It was a disturbing change of expression that sent a little chill down Ritsu's spine. "You're right." Mio jerked her head up sharply. "My mature persona was all just an act."

A grin of victory formed across Aniya's face. Ritsu grabbed tightly to one of Mio's arms that was around here. "Hey, Mio! What are you saying…?"

"I studied hard because I thought it was the 'righteous' thing to do… that by devoting myself to being studious, the sins of my past could be forgiven. I was selfish, only doing my best in school to make people like me. But it only made matters worse. People became jealous… of everything I have. I hated who I am. No matter what I did, it wasn't good enough for people. Attention from others merely meant that another person was going to be jealous of me."

"That's because your will was not strong enough to overcome those obstacles," remarked Aniya, folding her arms against her chest. "To attain true power, one must have the endurance to proceed to the peak. You do not have that strength, Akiyama."

A bitter grin formed across Mio's cheeks.

"Don't talk like you know what Hell Mio went through!" snapped Ritsu out of the blue. "Do you know how Mio lived through her childhood? Scalded with hot water, having her exam sheets torn before her eyes, physically and mentally abused day by day. What the Hell do you know?!"

Somewhat disturbed, Aniya jerked back a little, though she quickly returned to looking calm and composed.

"It's alright, Ritsu. I can handle this," noted Mio with an appreciative smile. "You're right, Algreim. I was not strong enough to proceed on my own. That's why I needed my friends. I needed Ritsu."

Ritsu arched a brow. "…Me?"

People have already hated me for being better than them. Reading that composition in front of the whole school… It would ruin me forever.

"You don't want to read your composition? Why?"

"Because it's embarrassing. People don't like my writing…"

"It's not embarrassing at all! It's totally awesome! They'll love it!"

"I-It's not awesome at all!"

"But you're the only person from our class who won an award. That shows that you are better than them. I would brag about it to everyone."

"THEN YOU SHOULD'VE WON THE AWARD! I don't want to read it in front of everyone!"

Dumb Ritsu. I… just wanted to run away, escape. The world was not the bright place I had hoped it would be. But Ritsu kept her hope in me. She had faith that I would shine… when it was her light that dragged me out of the darkness, regardless of how envious she was of me. Thanks to her, I did that reading, and gained the chance to finally realize my dream, to see the kindness in people that I had envisioned in my composition.

Though there were still people who sought to harm me, more people began praising me for my hard work. They loved me for who I am, not for what I could do… or for what I did. Day by day, they reminded me that the world is bright, and that kindness could indeed be spread from people to people.

"True. Ritsu was jealous of me on numerous accounts, but the point is that she fought against that jealousy, her desires, just to keep me alive. It was because of her that I'm able to come this far down the racetrack. It was because of all those benevolent people out there. They deserve my aid, Algreim. They never did ask for anything in return, just for me to meet the finish line. I can't abandon people like them."

At that instant, Mio could had sworn she heard a chuckle in the form of Aniya's voice.

"That is all… very touching, Akiyama. But the matter of fact is that, I will be reaching the finish line, while you dwindle behind helping out the world." Aniya turned away, walking past an immobile Flare that was unable to use that bat from the start. "Ciao."

"At least I'd remain human." Another remark that made Aniya stopped. "What's the point, Algreim, when you end up sifting through your bills in a luxuriant penthouse, but having no virtues you could connect with the rest of humanity?"

A mocking smirk rubbed through Aniya's facet. "The point?" she replied while leering behind. It was an evil grin that torn away her coolheaded veil to reveal her true self. "The point is that I'll be the one who would end up sifting through those bills, Akiyama, while you sift through garbage bags with your loving friends in that unrealistic socialist world of yours!"

"You're wrong, Algreim-"

"Oh per-lease! Going about that comeback again, Akiyama?! A little overused, isn't it?!"

It was probably that bewildered look on everyone's faces that reminded Aniya that it was of another voice that last quip had came out of. She looked around, trying to find the culprit.

Then she turned around completely.

"Sok… Soka…"

"Have you forgotten what the Literature Club is about, Miss Algreim?" reprimanded that voice as it gradually approached Aniya.

"No, I haven't," Aniya bowed apologetically, "Sokabe-senpai."

Sokabe Megumi. President of the student council and the Akiyama Mio fanclub. Also ex-president of the Literature Club.

"What is our motto, Miss Algreim?" the elegant girl questioned, standing before Aniya, who held her head lowly in front of her.

"To do what is right or best just as soon as we truly understand what is right or best."

"That's right. To do what is right or best, not what is best for ourselves. Our intelligence is a gift, Algreim. You have tarnished the meaning of our club, of intellectualism."

Aniya held her head down. As of that moment, she felt like that little child of her past again, teased and mocked for being a bookworm, knowing nothing else about humanity, about the world. Just like Akiyama Mio. Except that she never had help.

"It's not fair… I've tried harder than anyone else in this school… I've put in more hard work than any student. It was only right that I claim the fruits of my labor!"

"On whose expense, Algreim?" cried out Mio from behind. It was an unexpected turnaround for everyone to see tears forming below her previously fervent eyes. "Just because you are the best, other people are trying their best, too! Everyone should be rewarded for their efforts… even if it seems unfair to those who've worked harder than most…"

Even in High School, Akiyama Mio's efforts were not fully recognized, either. Not fully. She could be deem the best by everyone else, but amongst her own friends, she was treated like an equal, with Hirasawa Yui outshining her more often than not.

Indeed as Ritsu sensed it, Mio was jealous herself, too. But like Ritsu, she would fight it. Being a human with proper values was more important.

"Mio…" mumbled Ritsu by her side. It was Ritsu's turn to cuddle Mio, wanting to assure her of her significance to them, to the club members. "You don't have to be envious… you know you are better than us…"

"I'm sorry…" Mio lowered her head in shame. "I didn't mean to be jealous as well…"

"Idiot," Ritsu reascended her head, staring into her eyes with confidence. "That's what makes you human."

"I want to be as great as Miss Akiyama as well!" a voice suddenly called out. The eyes swayed around. It was one of the onlooking bystanders. A girl. She looked barely younger than Ritsu. Upon realizing what she said out loud, she raised her hands up in embarrassment. "Ah! Not because I want to out-compete Miss Akiyama! I just… want to help out people like she is so capable of doing…"

The eyes grew soft with warmth, especially those of Mio and Ritsu.

"I always wanted to be a doctor," another voice randomly said, this time from a nerdy-looking dude with pimples stitched across his forehead, pushing up the brim of his glasses. "My parents told me that I would earn big money by studying hard, but… I don't really want to become a doctor because of money. I want to help people, too…"

"I want to work hard so that I could go to a college with my friends!" another voice said. "College would mean nothing without my friends…"

"I want to earn lots of money so that I could use them to help the less fortunate out there!"

"You see, Mio?" remarked Ritsu, patting on Mio's back. "Your voice is loud and significant, too. To everyone. To me."

"My voice is not that loud…" whimpered Mio with a shy smile, to which Ritsu returned with a smile as well.

"You hear those voices, Aniya?" asked Megumi, her eyes judging from above her replacement as club president. "These are the voices that truly represent what the club stands for - the desire to help people using better knowledge - not the ugliness you have displayed across this hallway today. Even Miss Akiyama… she fought against her own temptations to do what's right for her friends. To be human. You are a pathetic example for a human being, Aniya Algreim. Akiyama Mio surpassed you in every way. You have no right to be the club president."

"…What?"

"You are hereby relieved of the presidential role."

"You can't!"

"You are dismissed, Miss Algreim!"

Naturally, a few individuals felt a sense of sympathy - not pity - for the sinful Algreim. Yes, readers, Mio especially of course. Her eyes wandered around helplessly, feeling like she should help her out, even after all that Aniya had said.

"Miss Sokabe, maybe…"

A raised palm from Megumi directed towards her ceased Akiyama's statement from completion. When she was sure Mio would not reach out her hand for Aniya, she began walking towards her.

"You don't have to feel bad for her, Miss Akiyama. Her ban from the club is necessary, as we are unable to tolerate someone with views like hers in our club."

Mio frowned regardless. "Still, you didn't have to put her down like that. She's still a human being, just a little strayed off the path."

Megumi placed her hands on Mio's shoulders upon arriving before her. "Mio-chan, you are such a wonderful person. The utmost representation of what our club stands for, I'd dare say. You are intelligent above, yet generous in your heart. Just like-"

"Socrates, I know. I read his works."

"Mio likes to read books a lot!" commented Ritsu from the side, causing Megumi to produce a smile at Mio's loyal bestfriend.

"You are a great friend, Miss Tainaka. Please continue to take care of Miss Akiyama for me- I mean, for the fanclub."

Ritsu nodded proudly with a huge grin.

Megumi looked back at Mio. "Are you sure you don't want to join our club? We could really use such a prominent student… such a brilliant person, such as yourself. We could arrange a position for you for next year if you would like, until after you help your friends out."

And thus the reward was finally presented before her. The treasure chest for her hard work in traveling down the dungeon. The recognition of her great value. The fruits of her labour.

Ritsu took one look at Mio's pondering face, and knew what her answer would be. She had to at least try not to let Mio just give in to the friendship they had and end up with something she did not deserve. Mio's kindness more than deserve this recognition.

"Mio!" Ritsu began, putting on a serious look, startling Mio a little bit. "I know you don't like it when I make decisions for you, but…"

Her sudden bow made Mio sweated even more.

"I'm really sorry I selfishly took you away from the Literature Club when I did. I… do not deserve to keep you in the Keion Club just for my sake. So… I will fully respect your decision, if you choose to leave for the Literature Club next year. You deserve it! For all your hard work in school, and your commitment towards your friends!"

Even Megumi was a little startled. "Uh, Miss Tainaka… it's alright. I don't think you're selfish… If Mio-chan decides to stick to her principles and help her friends out, it's-"

"How long could she help us out? Mio's been helping me out… a lot more than I did since childhood. I hate to say it but… I feel that the Keion Club is a waste of her-"

"No, thank you."

The sudden answer made by Mio cut off the commotion made by both presidents. A sudden atmosphere of silence came into place once more, as the two of them realized what they almost did.

"I… I'm sorry, Mio," said Ritsu hurriedly, assuming that her friend had been offended. "I didn't mean to try and decide your future for you agai-"

"It's alright," she answered, wearing a smile instead of the expected frown. "I'm sorry, Miss Sokabe, but my place is with the Keion Club right now."

"Mio, don't-"

"My bond with my friend is clearly not strong enough for Ritsu to trust me, to understand my feelings." She turned to look at Ritsu, almost giggling. "I'll need to work on that friendship first. My selfless bestfriend deserves that from me."

Ritsu sighed, leaning against a wall in discomfort. "Are you certain, Mio?"

A short burst of chuckle came through. "It's me, Ritsu. When am I ever certain?"

Though true, Ritsu could not agree. She herself was uncertain about this whole thing as well.

"But my time with the Keion Club… my time with you, Ricchan, is precious. No amount of recognition from the world would ever change that."

"Mio…"

"Like you said, I could not help you out forever. That's why I would not miss it for the world."

Megumi nodded, grinning cheerfully. "I understand, Miss Akiyama. I'm glad you have kept your virtues with you, Mio-chan."

Megumi's sudden hug for Mio was unexpected to her as well.

"I'm glad I made your fanclub. You are everything I could've hoped to be."

"Thank you, Miss Sokabe," answered Mio, secretly smiling under Megumi's hug.

"Just promise me something," she continued after releasing Mio, "that you'd always remember that you more than deserve to receive that recognition… no matter what the world tells you. The doors to the Literature Club are always open to you."

Only after Mio had nodded would Megumi leave. Naturally, it was appropriate for the bystanders to conclude this session with a thunderous ovation… serving to shy Mio's face away once again.

"Now that that is over, Mio…" remarked Ritsu with a cheeky grin, "YOU WERE SO COOL BACK THERE! Fighting word-to-word again Aniya Algreim with such confidence! And your clothes! That slightly unbuttoned blouse look suits you well!"

Though loud and attention-attracting, Mio could not help just listening to Ritsu's words patiently, blissful that she was stuck with that hair-banded girl.

~~~~~~
"See, Flare? Those students were reminders of people's kindness," stated Mio later.
"Only in Sakura High, perhaps," he replied grinning, arms folded behind his head.
"Perhaps. Who knows?"
"Yeah… Who knows indeed."
Both Sides of a Coin
Ritsu Lyrics by Tainaka Ritsu
Mio Lyrics by Akiyama Mio
(Ritsu Verse)
When I was a child
I met a little kind-hearted angel
She was everything I am not
Everything I could only dream of
I couldn't help being a little jealous!
Smart!
Beautiful!
Talented!
Mio: (Not really…)
But darkness had you trapped
I had to make sure you would shine
I don't care what people say
You deserve a paradise
But now…
You've grown into a butterfly
Spreading your wings up high to the sky
Shining the world with your bright light
You would soon leave my side…
But it's alright!
GO FLY! Butterfly
(Mio Verse)
When I was a child
The world was a cold, dark unkind place
I didn't really about all the values that I had
They meant nothing to me!
Intellect!
Beauty!
Talent!
Ritsu: (Don't say that!)
All I ever want is to gain acceptance
In a kind Fairy Tale land where everyone cares for one another
And then you came along
Like a shining knight of armor
You slashed my thorns away
You rescued me
So thank you
You were loving and kind
I need no Fairy Tale, When you are before my eyes
Wipe away those concealed tears, You don't have to be envious of anything I have
For you are most beautiful
Thank you for everything…
(Ritsu and Mio Verse)
Because we are both sides of a coin
We thrive because of each other
Mio: The world is unkind
Ritsu: But I'll survive with you by my side
Ritsu: The world needn't be perfect
Mio: When there is you
Mio: The world was once cold
Ritsu: But then a light came and shine the world
Yes. You haven't got rid of me yet. Mwahahahahaha.
School is Hell. School projects and assignments, rushing up with the portfolio. No time to work on fan fic at all... T_T And gawd, looks like Mio's gonna lose the Saimoe League to Azusa. Gotta incorporate that Mio/Azusa rivalry into my story some time. It won't happen until half a year after the ISML ended, it seems. <_<"
The ending is little overdramatic, perhaps a little too mushy, but man, whatever. This is my definition of Mio's moeness. :3 Or perhaps I'm not cut out to be a romance writer. T_T Never mind. Gratifying plot-line coming up in the next chapter - Mio gets... molested?
This is one of those chapters I halfheartedly written just to get the plot moving - and of course, to express my views for the plot-line of E7/S2, 'the fan club episode'. Oh, you know it. It's going to get ugly. And the best part has yet to come...
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6316236/10/Fictitious
Ah well. Enjoy - as much as you can.
Chapter 11: Molesters!
Took longer than I had expected. I really wanted to get the restroom scene right. The molesting scene - yeah, really hard to write that for obvious reasons, but it had to be done.
Next chapter sees a great Mio/Azusa scene... but yeah, you guessed it, it's going to involve that gang of boys again, so it's going to be another tough scene to write for me. -.-
Did a rewrite on the last part of the chapter, where Flare was talking about the state of Japan with Mio in the restroom. Damn, did that need a rewrite indeed. The last line of the chapter ain't that great, but the improvements made to Flare and Mio's conversation were certainly great. :3
The Chapter name alone sounds hard to write o.o...
In trying to avoid cliches in a story, there are some cliches you just can't f-ing avoid. -_-" Then again, it could just be me halfheartedly writing again.
Mhm... No. No, it's not. I spent hours just pondering on one paragraph. Damn. I need a break. Don't spend too much time working on a writing - it would only end up turning ugly. Real ugly.
Wait, you know what, I've been using this excuse too many times. *crosses heart* Next one's going to be good! Gotta promise myself! And it finally sees Azunyan getting, well, you know, so it's at least somewhat interesting. Till then.
Well, with pain comes growth. What they did to her would only serve to make her stronger.
Heh... just wait till the end of her third year of highschool. Someone will get revenge on Mio, and... Well, let's just say they beat her up pretty bad, leaving her cut off from the rest of humanity. <_<"
Oh, and it gets better after she finds out about her fictitious nature. I could say that she is physically brutalized at least more than five times in total throughout the entire story. Sounds harsh, I know, but redemption awaits her in the end. Just er, hang on there a little, Mio...
Not a chapter update for Moe-Tsundere, but instead, here's a little jump to the potential future of "Fictitious", a little drafted write-up of a possible chapter I might write in the future. Why am I writing this now? Well, I started writing Moe-Tsundere in the first place to express my feelings. Here, I have certain views and feelings to express... and I just can't wait for a year or so. So.
This is going to be shoddy, but bear with it. Don't take this too seriously, 'coz I'm just toying around with my ideas and my feelings. I might even rewrite this again in later posts just to mess around a bit more.
Oh, and a few details. This is set in a time when Karebu (real name Caleb) has yet to fall from grace, yet. So yeah, he's a good guy at this point. Wee Boon Tang is WBoon, the writer who's the 'god' of this story. And this is obviously after Mio has discovered the truth.
But looking forward to the rewrite.
She, wasn't, raped. It was a joke. Geez. lol
And the main point of the molestation in this chapter wasn't to make her look stronger anyway. It was more to develop the Mio/Azusa relationship. Besides, the incidents of this chapter would later lead to a series of events that would really show her strong side (but with my busy schedule, I'm afraid that segment won't be written until another two months later, at least ).
