I don't think that's it. There was apparently a rumor somewhere saying Horizon would be 4-cour. I was informed by stuopidget that it could be because the way Horizon was announced as being "Two seasons" was exactly like Gundam 00, which turned out to be split 4-cour. Here's the link stating this:

Quick trans:

So basically, just as it says, it's a split cour series, but no one know whether it means that it's split 4-cour or split 2-cour. Before Sacred Seven I would have been sure it was split 4-cour, but Sunrise is doing 12 episode seasons now apparently.

I always thought that there will be a opening theme by JAM Project, and now that the opening artist has changed to Faylan (one of my favourite Japanese artists that I liked her since Qwaser ; according to 2ch), I'm more worried about it. Just like Kawaguchi, Ono always want that the opening for each of its works will be performed by a female artist.

Well from what I've seen so fare it seems like this is going to be a very interesting series. I'm sold on the fact that sunrise is going to do something else aside from run of the mill mecha.

Would be great if Kyoukai Senjo ends up being another big hit like it. Certainly im not expecting all the characters to be heavily developed other than the main ones (pretty much like AB).

Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere PV2

2nd PV is quite promising but the OP Teaser is just lazy, they used scene from previous PV without adding any new animation

I think you can give them a little bit more credit than that .

Just the whole scene with Kazuno (literally means deer antler) dual-wielding two body-size metal plates and doing acrobat with them then performing a whirlwind while blushing is the highlight of the trailer in my opinion. Honda Tadakatsu (you can wiki this guy, he's pretty awesome; keep in mind of his helmet choice)'s short scene also showed that he's probably a character to look forward to as well.

The trailer actually went pretty far, almost to the end of 1st part of Book I (which is as far as I got reading anyway), while skipping a lot of the major details, which ... might be a turn off for newcomers because the main's pretty much "trash" still up until this point, so the PVs have him doing nothing but boob attacks (oy!)

Seems like they're focusing the PV a lot on fanservice of both ecchi and action, but not neglecting small things like this in Spanish (aceleración) and that Toori's sister's (the only one) totally unfazed in this scene (that dragon makes me lol every time for some reason) imply that they are paying to small details, which are always nice.

Too bad there are like only 2 frames of Gin, and no Naomasa, both probably are my favorite character designs (I have a thing for females with fake big robotic arms ).

Two things are for sure though.

For one, the animation is definitely top notch; I only hope that Sunrise has enough budget to actually do all the fight scenes properly (and not just showcase the best ones in PV). Two, whoever's doing the BGM and sound effects should really get a promotion.

I remain hyped for this series~~

^ wow, i didn't realize that there are a lot of details in that PV until you pointed them out (aceleración for example)

btw which one is Gin and which one is Honda Tadakatsu? are they the one using blue armor? (girl and an old man)

about the budget, i think they should have enough budget.
Their last few shows like Tiger and Bunny was a hit (not sure about Sacred Seven though), the DVDs/BDs and even the rating itself, but who knows right?
