Just throw in a hidden pocket to make ends meet. I think the "under-the-collars-pocket" will work.

I was also thinking of something like putting it in a purse or something along the lines, but if you're sticking with pockets, then pockets we go. XD

She should just tuck the piece behind that blue patch that covers the cleavage and not do anything suggestive...

Isn't that taking things a little too literally...? Skirt pocket works well enough for the scene.

Except then, she's taking the piece and putting it under the table (which sends a totally different message). As a compromise, since Itsuko's bag is on the table, she puts the piece in it instead...

To be honest, before I was distracted by the comedy value of Itsuko putting the chess piece in her chest piece, I had the idea that she did a sleight-of-hand vanishing trick.

Not only that, she does it badly, so Kyonko knows that it's not ESP, and says as much. Itsuko just laughs it off and goes "you know what I mean".

It may still distract too much from the point, though.
