He's trash alright, but somehow I find it quite interesting how he ended up like this. He's definitely brilliant, but powerless (esper wise), giving him a peculiar complex. The result being him trying especially hard to prove that intelligence is better than esper abilities. He would make a good Kihara if only he wasn't so driven by emotions... But that's basically it, he's like a wannabe Kihara, and without the most important feature he falls far behind.

It's like no one has any sense for revenge / justice.

It was a bit of a let down, but well within character (and within script, Baba can't die here.)

Remember Wannai and Awatsuki are serious pacifists, just some chapters ago they were commenting about never being angry. Perhaps knowing they had obtained what was needed to help Kongou and seeing Baba groveling pathetically in the ground was enough to calm their outburst, pity taking the place of anger.

And Mikoto, well, she does believe Misaki is behind everything...

What intrigues me now is what's the connection between Misaki's original plan and MEMBER's actions... I particularly hope the mess isn't a result of plain misfortune.

Who knows? I think it's possible to squeeze in an arc during the times Touma was in Italy and UK.

At this rate it will still be ongoing 10 years after the main series ends.

It might be skipped, just like many other events were skipped.
It does not have any connection to the story of Railgun.
Mikoto was just helping Touma a bit, but she was not really involved.

How to put it.. it would be really out of place, similar to Angel Fall.
(I really hoped this would show up at least for the gags with swapped characters)

There was some questions (in other thread) regarding Mikoto's battle capability aside from her abilities and this chapter has proven that Tokiwadai trains their students in hand to hand combat

Vento's invasion is a pivot point due to the news of a different "esper technology" and the possibility of war reaching them...

Well, in the novels we saw that it was barely small talk for students that felt all too safe, but the dark side was in turmoil.

Although Mikoto is not part of the dark side, she is aware of it and the fact that AC is not as safe as other students wish to believe... And there's also Kuroko who is bound to feel an increase of incidents that judgement needs to tend to.

There are two potential lines there for nice side plots and I would be surprised if they were wasted... Of course, considering the pace, it will take a long while to reach that point.

You know, now that I think about it, there's some heavy stuff going on under the bridge, such as what happened to the girl Accelerator rescued from a certain dealer.

Depending on how much darkness Kamachi wants in the Railgun manga, he could very well tease us with Saten or one of her friends getting abducted (level 0s are the ones at the highest risk after all)... Of course, Mikoto would rescue her before anything grave happened else she would go full psycho... which, like I said some time ago, is not her destiny.
