Post Anime Inspired Animation Made by Me (KhanhCPham)

Hello everyone. I thought I share a 1 minute and 45 second anime inspire animation. It is a cliched and nonsensical like several other animes but I hope it can still sting the brain. It can be viewed on youtube here:

Heh. Amusing collection of tropes The art style reminded me a bit of Seitokai Yakuindomo.

The only thing I saw to complain about was at the end. She's "walking away" but she doesn't actually recede out of view.

Hand-drawn animation is labor intensive so I'd say thumbs up. Did you use any kind of software tools to help with the generation of frames between key images?

Thanks. I use adobe flash for all the rough animations and toon boom for the final line work. I am constantly testing my lines because I want the anime-look as much as possible. Its still not perfect so I'll need to try again.

It's amazing that you drew all that by yourself. I like the part when the guy was hit by the rocket and then slide along the ground, especially the smoke effect. Since it seems to be a lot of work, I suppose you had to copy paste a lot

I must admit I don't understand what was going on though

Thanks.

I did reuse the smoke artifacts on that scene. If I remember correctly, I think its 12-15 different smoke animations reused.

I am planning to give this story another go but I am planning to flesh out the story more because "surprise counter" didnt make any sense. "Surprise Counter" was more of a test for me anyway but I am more comfortable animating now. So far I only got a rough storyboard done.

What a cruel woman.

I liked the story the way it is. Felt like a sketch from Nichijou. Good work!
