Kyouko/Natsu was... nicer than I expected, in some ways. However, what she did was quite interesting and really established herself as a leader of the group.

Only a small-minded fool would go up against Kyouko now. Hello Chiori.


On a separate, more general point... Kyouko's now been in the show-biz world for nearly a year of her time. I think most people starting the series would have expected Kyouko to have a more rapid rise to fame than she'd had - both in the amount of chapters/pages it's taken and how much time has passed within the story.

It's not uncommon for people to become an "overnight success" but generally they've been working out of the limelight for sometime - or at least developing their skills. Kyouko meanwhile has gone literally from zero - zero interest, zero experience, zero motivation, zero training in the show-biz world. The others don't know all that and still find her rise to be unusually fast. In Shou's case, it's not clear exactly how much he'd done before coming to Tokyo, but it took him nearly a year to rise to 7th in the popularity rankings by the start of the story.

At the moment though, Kyouko has name recognition due to Mio but not so much personal popularity. I wonder how long it'll be until she starts having and meeting real fans of hers and so on...

Though you shouldn't forget that Kyoko has innate skills when it comes to acting. its just lets say her unknown skill or something. /OMG I was bashing the anime thread then now I'm posting her lol. (Well I'm gonna keep reading the manga; will not be following the anime though). I'm not really too fascinated w/ the Kyoko going up to stardom thing cause It wasn't really her dream/ambition to begin with. It all started w/ Sho badmouthing Kyoko then Ren popping up helping her in showbiz etc..blahblah and I wan't to see it that way. Though It seems as like Sho is now just a minor character(although a pretty important at that) and that depresses me since I'm rooting for a ShoxKyoko ending.
