How about instead of getting this closed we get a mod to rename it and we could start a poem thread? |

~Black Warrior~ Silver hair-so long and flowing Against his copper skin Heavy metal-bright and glowing Show the path he’s been Proud and sure-it’s so evident Yet he’s screaming deep inside Tearing, blood-shot eyes-malevolent All because his maiden lied |

I'd scare to many people here if I posted my more thought out poems. Also I'd have to find them wherever they are. I think on some cd-r. But heres one I posted for poetry.com, I wish I could post the one that got me into a book but I just don't feel like finding it right now. Plus it was edited for the competition and I only have the unedited version.
Silent moon Silent rage I beg forgivness I beg for shame I've seen the wolf I've heard his cry's Please forgive me with silent eyes Theirs no excuse There is no reason For I am you and you are I I just hope That we survive This clueless love of you and I This was like 5 years ago. |

You want poetry! Have I got poetry! Wrote these years ago, but I still keep them around.
------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fire and ice. Sun and rain. Opposites they are. As opposites they fight. As partners they dance. As friends they are. Although opponents they may be, forever friends will they stay. For without the other neither can stand. But together they are forever bound. Such as we are eternal opposites. So will we be forever...eternal friends. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- All you do is see and see You never hear when you speak You never speak when you hear You never learn from what you're taught You never teach that which you've learned You always jumped before you looked You never looked before you walked You never asked before you did All you do is see and see Yet blind you are, no see, no see Your mind is thick and numb and cold It is dead as a fallen tree ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tis to die as is to live, to rain as is to shine. For love is fleeting, frail, but strong Priceless as grapes improved by time. or clay within the potters hands. It improves with use, molding and care Takes shape and grows with gentle touch Then fired in the kiln of life, it grows strong, solid, firm in shape However fragile it may be, strong is it to hold so many things But shattered greatly it will be, when carelessly thrown away to die. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heaven's Gift You are an angel brought down to Earth To fulfill a heart long unbound by time lost close to me like nevermore Torn by emotion i hear you speak for love is here i cannot find To holding you in my arms gives me forever comfort in my heart For you alone posses the beauty of a Pearl untouched by time Gods gift from heaven to a kiss So happy that tears of joy may fall with bliss of joyous harmony When your beauty comes to call on me Just loving you would be a charm Your mind, your heart, your soul, your love God's greatest gift, your all for me Blooming ever precious, faid to loss To have your heart be one for me Would be the greatest gift I seek To me this pauper lost of love streatched out to me on bended knee all cherrished forever, never lost in this crimson heart of mine ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The cold heart Always two are there to all in life To live or die, to sing or speak Never one of anything ever found Always a partner to dance around I share my heart with everyone, and they in turn send love to me But your heart is cold, barren, and void unloved and forbidding, lost and forlorn I send my love to you with care In hopes that your heart might warm from use But like a knife you throw down my love My caring and friendship and kindness to you But since in nature nothing exists as one your heart is doomed to fall and be gone shattered against the unforgiving wall of time lost to history like the dust on the wall For since your heart won't join and be two it will be shattered, and ground, and ripped away from you then without your heart your body will fall to the grave forever lost, forgotten, wanted by none, forsaken by all ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Sermon of the Kite I take my kite out into the wind unwind the string and watch it sail Then I look at the kite as it floats on air And think how much it resembles my life My soul is the kite, all spangled and bright and covered with ribbons and bows But like a kite I cannot fly without the proper things being all and right. It takes air to make me fly and string to hold me tight An anchor set firmly in the ground, attached to the kite Its strong control, a welcome thing For without it I would fall into the sea The kite is launched, the string is taunt, the air is brisk and strong. its wings unfurled, its frame in place, its cloth is light and strong The wind, it blows The kite, it sails The string is run The anchor holds firm and strong Higher and higher, the kite it sails Its wings it touches the clouds in air But for that strong string and anchor The kite, it would not sail at all Then I see the kite as me, weak and frail, but light and free. As the kite, earth bound I am, Save for the string, anchor and wind The wind is the word, the bible strong and true, it lifts me away from the world and brings me closer to God The anchor is Jesus His strength holding the line His hands guiding me and keeping me safe His love holding fast to me and my heart The string is my faith, Its strands strong and thick Its length grows and improves With each step closer I take to you, Oh God. I stand by the sea, and watch it fly And marvel at the blue and splendid sky At its flight, its wings, the wind, and you And as a tear rolls down my face, I thank you God for all you do. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I go to bed to dream a dream. A dream of love. A dream of life. A dream above. A dream of strife. A dream of fantacy and golden things. A dream of reality and forbidden things. I dream a dream. A song. A whisper. A nightime breeze blowing warm in winter. To dream forever is my want. To dream forever is my wish. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, that's not all of it, but it's a lot of it. |
