Suzumiya Haruhi no Yūutsu Kanon K-On! Saki My anime experience is heavily limited to KyoAni production for now, but I have listened many other popular anime OSTs. It might be that I can't see the beauty of many OSTs, if their emotion value is tied to related scenes or something.

Shiki
Toaru Majutsu no Index Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Shuffle! Rosario to Vampire Have to say as of the moment, these would be my favs. Shiki and Higurashi have dark, ominous beats I'm attracted to, while Index has the upbeat electronica sound that keeps the heart pumping. Shuffle! has an upbeat in addition to a dark melancholy which makes a good representation of the series. Same could be said for Rosario, although there are more upbeat and catchy osts on their.

Shiki
Spice and Wolf Gosick Jigoku Shoujo Emily of New Moon A rather diversified taste for me, however I can't seem to avoid it. Many soundtracks reflect the mood I am in when I download them. These soundtracks consistently survive my very strict cuts I do to save room on my ipod. So for that reason I have listed them as my current favourite five. |

Can I cheat a little here?
1. Aria trilogy OST's - love them 2. Whisper of the Heart 3. Kiki's Delivery Service 4. 5 Centimeters per Second 5. Kagarushi no Arriety These are kinda "off the top of my head" based on what I have been listening to % wise in this genre of late. I kinda like individual tracks from OST's more than whole OST's ... the above are a few notabe exceptions for me that jump to mind.

In order from most liked to least liked:
1. Howl's Moving Castle 2. Katanagatari 3. Rozen Maiden (1, 2, and Ouverture) 4. Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt 5. Chobits HMC is the only anime OST to date that I could listen to over and over again in its entirety. <3 Katanagatari's OST is an EXTREMELY close second. |
