A Deadly Game

Such as Death Note and Mirai Nikki, any other good ones?

Second those two mangas.
I'll add Judge by the same author as Doubt

As for anime there's Kaiji especialy the second game of the first season
Bokurano (manga or anime) might fit, even if it's generaly concidered mecha

here's the synopsis:

Quote:
During a summer camp, 15 children, 8 males and 7 females, find a grotto by the sea. Deep within they discover working computers and some electronic equipment, and later the owner, a man called Kokopelli. Kokopelli claimed to be a programmer working on a brand new game, in which a large robot has to defend the Earth against fifteen alien invasions. He persuades the children to test the game and sign a contract. All but one of them signs, barely a moment later they mysteriously awaken on the shore believing what happened was just a dream.

Akagi, in addition to Kaiji. The last 13 episodes are a life-and-death game.

Cock Robin Wo Korosu No Wa is a really good death game manga. The concept reminds me of Mirai Nikki especially with the mystery girl protecting the main protagonist act while at the same time not knowing their intentions or goals.

By game you mean something of tournament kind where you get the price at the end?

Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Zero have deadly tournament going on where the winner will get their wish granted.

Umineko no Naku Koro ni had a mind game between a witch and a human. Human had to prove that all the crimes commited ciuld be done by human without magic. A lot of people got killed over and over there, and in some nasty ways.

doesn't necessarily have to be a tournament or a prize, death note for example, isn't technically a "game" but the cat and mouse chase between Light and L makes it feel like such

I forgot to mention Eden of the East (they've got cool cell phones like mirai Nikki)

Code Geass had mind play like that.

Not sure if it will do but maybe Shiki? It is about vampires and a small village. People start to suddenly die out and epidemic is suspected at first. Eventually a hunting on each other begins.

While it is not the main point of the story, the manga Jojo's Bizarre Adventure has some very memorable examples of what you're looking for such as incredibly high stakes poker match with the heroes's souls on the line in Part 3 and probably the most epic game of rock-paper-scissors in Part 4.

The series in general is an action adventure series, unlike most of the other recommendations here, but there's a strong emphasis on tactics and clever use of power so a lot of the fights are also a battle of wits.

No one mentioned Gantz? It fits your description.

I don't recommend the anime or the live action though. I recommend the manga; it is still running.

The fourth story arc in Mononoke, "Nue" (episodes 8-9), might be of interest.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Just kidding. How about trying the Law of Ueki? It's similar to Mirai Nikki. If you're fine with manga, I would suggest Spiral (there is an anime, but please just go with the manga).
