Another excellent ep, full of feints and teases. I smell a reset end coming, but anything could happen. I don't suppose there's enough manga (or DVD sales) for a third season, but I'll forever hope.

Second character song album is out.
Gurasan's rendition of "Gyarandu" is absolutely likeable. Tomokazu Sugita and Kobayashi Yuu got their songs too. I wonder if Sailor Fuku to Kikanjyuu becomes EP13 special ED or not. It just might. |

I beg your pardon for doubleposting, but this is actually something worth seeing.
Compare with the old one. The retake looks sexy and I don't mean the girls! Credits, on other hand, are even more incomprehensible. |

I haven't seen that many kiwis and explosions since Koichi Sakamoto blew up half of New Zealand. That said, it was a very nice final episode, encapsulating pretty much all the series' running gags, time travel hijinks and Yayoi and Kanako's guessing games that made the series fun. It was a great ride overall.

Well that was a really great finale... or coda?
We didn't get an anime-original end, so they might just continue the anime again. That was a great ride indeed, I just hope it won't end like many manga-promotional anime out there, Arashi really deserves much better. By the way, how's the manga? There is only so much you can tell in a short timespan before the summer ends? Does Kobayashi Jin intends to make his summer endless? There are... forty chapters currently, IIRC (of which we anime got to ~31st). |

So, the 2nd season of Natsu no Arashi came to an end.
Well, even thought, i expected more about Arashi about having her last summer and not seeing Hajime anymore, it still is a good ending, in my eyes. The ending is most likly not something, most people like, but still, is something special. I cant wait to see the next project of my favourite Mangaka.

Is this episode an anime original or is it based on the manga? because it seems kind of excessive to have 3 episodes involving exploding fruit, especially when 2 of those 3 are the last episodes in a season. Than again, this anime did love to re-use jokes, the salt guy and Kanako/Yayoi's "Describe it to me" scenes were not funny at all, but they still used them every single episode.
Those 2 bad gags aside, it was a good season. Episode 10 was by far my favorite and Jun's episodes were entertaining as well. I would definitely like a 3rd season, especially since the manga scanlations are still on season 1.

There's still a chance we'll get a season 3 in a few years. |

Spoiler:
I hope that they will make a third season becasue I doubt that we will get full scanlations soon or that some nice manga publisher licenses the manga. It's very sad that this show is so underrated because it is has much more warmth and great characters than most other shows (and mangas).

Well, it's still my hope that there's going to be enough manga to give us a third season - since we really didn't finish things up in any real way. The episode was satisfying enough, but was no more an ending than the first one was a beginning. I still love this cast and I'd like to see a lot more (hopefully mangaka-approved) closure to their story.

What are our chances for a third season?
NnA's first season was Masterpiece-tier IMV, one of the best anime I've seen in a long, long time. The second season, as of Episode 7, is OK as a "fan disk" kind of supplement, but it's not nearly as perfect as the first season. Still hopeful though.
