Post The Israel-Palestine Conflict

Israeli Rights Group Says Most Gaza Offensive Casualties Were Civilians

Quote:
A leading Israeli human rights group says most of the people killed in Israel's offensive in Gaza eight months ago were civilians - many of them children. Those findings contradict statistics from the Israeli military, which has said most of the casualties were militants.

The organization behind the report, B'Tselem, is considered a leading human rights group in Israel. Its findings are in line with those of major rights groups like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, which also issued reports in the months since Israel launched its 22-day assault on militants in Gaza.

B'Tselem says 773 of an estimated more than 1,300 people killed in the offensive, dubbed Operation Cast Lead, were civilians, including 320 children under the age of 18. It says 330 combatants were killed.
It seems that one side is got to be lying. Would that be the leading Israeli human rights group along with major organizations in the world such as the Amnesty International and the Human |Rights Watch? Or are the liars the Israel Defense Forces?

EU Criticizes Israeli Settlements

Quote:
The European Union has expressed concern about Israel's decision to approve new settler homes in the occupied West Bank.

In a statement issued Tuesday, the Swedish EU presidency said settlements are illegal under international law and "constitute an obstacle to peace."

Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Monday approved the construction of 455 new homes in Jewish settlements in the West Bank. The move was criticized by Palestinian officials.

The EU on Tuesday reiterated its call on Israel to immediately end settlement activities.
How is it just 50 Muslims getting forcefully removed from their homes by the Israeli authorities when it involves 455 new homes? This is a little suspicious...

Hey man, how does America liberate countries by bombing them?
How did the Chinese communists tried to be better that the theists by slaying peaceful monks in Tibet exactly as Crusaders did in the middle ages?
And why do you open such a topic when you know there is horshit going around since we were still living on the trees?
Of course and Israel is f*ing with us and screws over Palestine. No surprise here. They became the very Nazis they were yelling "never again" for 60 years. That is the folly of man.

This topic is very flammish and better not be discussed at all.

I believe we have previous threads. I do not know if they are locked, though.

And please, you look down on the Nazis. When the Israelis are ignoring the bigger picture, and pooling resources just to kill Palestinians, then you call them Nazis.

This has been discussed much before. Some may say one is 'occupied' , but from history we know that those who are occupied are rightfully so.

The decline in the Arab/Muslim world did not happen in one generation. Also, the fault is always "out there". There's nothing wrong with them, or so it seems.

What decline? You can still film a Biblical movie in most Arab nations with zero expences for the setting.

Decline in the acceptance of new ideas, in short. Be it technology or philosophy, the Muslim world is way past its peak.

This has been going for ages...

And these countries here are mentioned in the bible having wars way back in the old testament.

I pray somewhat they'll finally end this.

Nothing knew. They're just repeating their same old stuff again and again. Let them kill each other if that's what they want to do. If they can't learn to stop or see their wrongs or have some humane traits, then they will never change even with the help from others. Seriously, they all have issues. Only time I would even give a damn is if they threatend us.

"us!?"..well what they're already doing is affecting the innocents around them. I believe that there's definitely some among both of them that only desire peace. The problem is... their majority isn't so merciful. If only one of them admits defeat--that might lead to oppression though. But, really, in this already modern world of ours, rebellion doesn't seem effective anymore---its too costly, slow, and violent...but I guess that depends on the brains behind the both parties.

The subject matter is too volatile and has all the ingredients needed for a cylic, flammable topic.
