I'm not sure how I feel about the next episode. The preview looked weird. I've never been a fan of the original series either. They're too powerful as kids and their outfits are some of the gaudiest I've seen in anime. It might be interesting since it has to do with the 4th though. It's really just a promo for the movie with coming up.

And Naruto has now chucked a bleach! we have filler now next episode but at least it's showing a flashback of a skipped chapter prior to Shippuden! but still filler during an arc is frustrating.

I meant that it's showing 13 year old characters. Don't think it's manga but the story is related to the 4th Hokage but it did seem filler like.

There are just a couple of filler episodes to advertise the new movie (both will air next week). After those they will finish the arc and then there will be probably 5 more filler episodes before the start of the new arc (with the new OP).

I liked the episode, thought it was good, especially liked how the Kyuubi influence was animated, glad it wasn't as quick as in the manga.
Extremely disappointed that we'll be slipping back into spoiler mode, we're still a good 58 chapters behind the manga and only 5-6 (wherever seems best to pause from) chapters away from finishing this pain saga. It's not that great come back from a filler, and into a conversation that's almost ending.
