Rosa Catura!

What about a fresh season 2 vote? Maybe after fansub number 13.

We have a lot of new characters and some of the old ones were shown in detail for the first time (Eriko).

From the given choices, I'm surprise by the result. The winner is definitely overrated. Well, I make this comment when protagonists are not taking the lead.

to tell the truth this was a difficult vote Between rei, Sei and Yumi for Me but in the end I chose Rosa Gigantea Simply because She plays an almost Big sister Roll with Yumi offering her advice in a mature fashion and Also because she plays with Yumi and teases her In a completely Immature fashion. Still it was a tough choice Also I do enjoy Yumi quite a bit she is just so cute

Rosa Gigantea (Sei-sama). She's the reason I got hooked with Marimite (after watching ep11 of season 1). Too bad she left Lilian High School in season 2, otherwise I'd die to see more Sei/Yumi moment.

Well, I guess I'm not being original here by chosing Sei, but she's definitely my favourite character so I'm following the crowd...

I just love how we got to see right from the start her playful and funny side, because at the beginning we don't know much about the others and they seem distant, and the atmosphere is somewhat austere, so she acted as a great comic relief in the earlier episodes.

Later on, we get to see what happened between her and Shiori... I must confess episode 11 is my favourite, I'm such a sucker for love stories... even more so when they end sadly.

She's as great as ever in ~Haru~. I especially like how her relationship with Shimako is depicted. Of course it's a pity she graduated, but she's not very far away, as is proven when Yumi has tea with her (I kinda like the new haircut BTW). But it's a new season, time to discover new characters, so I guess old ones had to go eventually. Actually I'm kinda glad graduation doesn't take place until episode 6 or so, I thought it would happen earlier.

Oh, and she drives a New Beetle too, my favourite car ! Another good point

(and she's an horrible driver, just like me...)

And, of course, I just LOVE how she makes Sachiko jealous by jumping on Yumi

I also like Yoshino (because of the tomboyish attitude, she's so funny !) and Shimako (the only girl that looks cute, in my opinion... girls drawn in a shoujo style don't look so good to me, but she's the exception).

I think there is no surprise to japanese audiences too.
I have read that Sei is the most popular female character by reader votes in Animage magazine followed by Shimako-if I am not mistaken.

Have to go with Shimako in the absence of Noriko on the poll. The white rose focused episodes of Haru were just too beautiful. Makes me I wish I could read the novels with enough proficiency to enjoy them just as much.

I know she's not a member of the roses, but I have seen her in a LOT of fan art out there and she just happened to have touched my heart (as the kinda left-behind girl that never got into the yamayurikai thing but yet wanted to have yumi's rosary so bad). (at leasts that's not what the souer system is about ^^)

Also, I got a question for kj1980. Does she got that much more screen time in the novels? If so, what would be her important contributions

(because she is circumstancial at best in the anime, being her only important appeareance we everyone was bugging Yumi about she rejecting Sachiko's rosary and Katsura tried to defend her...)
