The plot is kinda predictable, we know Ichigo is gonna get some sort of power back (whether it will continue to be Shinigami is unknown) and we know Xcution want him for something ... but are they using him??

We know that the top three manga in the world are Bleach, Naruto and One Piec (not neccisarily in that order), right? Naruto did a two and a half year time skip years ago, and One Piece did a two year time skip very recently. Kubo probably feels that, in order to keep up with them, he has to do a time skip as well. Proof of this is that his time skip is virtually the same amount of time as the other two (2-3 years). As Zaseka said, dissing Kubo is one of the main reasons that these forums exist.

On an unrelated note: brilliant joke by Kaze on Ishida's arm. Classic!

It isn't about the time skip, Oda and Kishi closed the circles in order to jump forward in time. Kubo is trolling us since the "end" of Ichigo vs. Aizen Battle.

Kubo is just chasing his own tail, showing us some isolated facts and events, but hiding all kind of relevant information (i should say PLOT).

That's why we end joking about Ishida's arm, Ryuuken's moves on Orihime or (for Pete's sake) Karin's boobies...
