Didn't Mayoi in Nise say that the Supernatural is harder to unsee after you have already seen them?
It is sort of why Araragi try so hard to keep his family away from his adventures. Because once they "know", they will also start to get involved in more supernatural issues.
Reminds me of a Lovecraft tale, claiming that there are creatures living all around us, at all times, and that the only reason they don't kill us is because we can't see them.
