Don't worry guys though I'm thinking about quitting, but I'm not really going to quit >_< I'm too much addicted to manga, light novels and anime to quit (lol).
I'll rethink about quitting on the 5 year anniversary of this thread (LOL)

It got cancelled. This project was suppose to shape up before Madhouse took an hold of him. I don't know why, i think it had to do with Gonzo financial problems at some point they were suppose to embark on animated movie production as Madhouse do, but they never had the chance after Brave Story. There was also a movie project around Mahiro Maeda... that never happenned too.

Scanned through the thread, and apparently the information hasn't been posted.
For those who remember Basquash, apparently the information has been released "officially", regarding the staff and production. According to Moonphase, it's been confirmed that the series will air sometime in 2009 on MBS. The Staff and Character listing (as with voice actors) were also revealed. Here's the translation (as with the original japanese) writing of the information: Quote:

By the way, you were wondering on ANN if this project was a co-production with France. The answer is no, as you can see on the staff it's a satelight original project. After Oban Star Racer some of the french staff stayed in Japan mainly Thomas Romain and Stanislas Brunet. I thin they stayed a bit longuer with the japanese studio who produced the animation for Oban, then they moved to Satelight. Thomas Romain worked on Kissdum as art designer, then Stan worked on Macross F as set decorator. Stan is also working on Basquash but apparently he is not credited on the main staff, but he also worked on the mecha design.
If the question pop up, that was Thomas Romain who spoiled the news to soon on the Catsuka forum ^^'
