Pure, awesome mecha porn there is no other way I can describe it.
Also I had to lol at Riddhe turning into a cynical asshole, although he really was cool at the end when he used the Delta Plus to grab Unicorn's beam rifle and shoot at the Shamblo.

"Hey fellow spacenoids, we are fighting for your freedom and independence from the evil Federation. So we're gonna kill you, your family and friends with poison gas so we can drop your colony on the evil Earthnoids! sieg zeon! " From a logical standpoint, any democracy, regardless of corruption within the government, is infinitely better than any dictatorship, specially one that loosely resembles national socialist ideals.

as i explained in the previous post, Zeon got as much support as it did because of the way the EF leadership acted towards spacenoids. If the EF had given independence to the colonies, Zeon wouldnt have gotten as much support as it did, and the entire OYW and the followings Zeon uprisings could've most likely been avoided. |

Principality of Zeon in the UC universe had and always will be the symbol of pure twisted evil ideology (as if the whole based on Nazi thing didn't give it away already), pity the side stories always goes out of their way to make them look good and revise the history.

The Republic of Zeon engaged in several diplomatic and economic back and forths with the Federation which was trying to get the Republic to return to the Earth Sphere. It was only when Degwin took control that it turned it into the Principality of Zeon and then moved towards all out war with the Federation. It was only at the end of the second Neo Zeon war that Zeon returned to the Earth Sphere. |

Most governments throughout history haven't allowed open secession without a fight. If you can secede for any reason, you have no government, just anarchy.
Of course, that's too simple. I'm not saying secession is illegitimate, but as Nationalist movements, Zeon and Neo-Zeon movements have been pretty barbaric in their secession efforts with the whole colony drop and other efforts. I think I'm just over-thinting this. This franchise has probably just degenerated into mecha battles and shock value with no reasoning behind the actors in the various wars. It has just become a cash cow. |

Seconds before the Shamblo was finally knocked out, it fired the mega particle gun at the Unicorn and Delta Plus. If the Shamblo was under a psycommu runaway during the Torrington attack, who was in control of the reflector bits (which BLOCKED the mega particle blast) at that moment of firing? Loni or Banagher?

"Don't end up like me"
And the theme continues. Those that fight, carrying the war of hatred because they feel like that's all they're defined. The last part was made to be a tragic end, and they milked it for what its worth. Well done. They really and utterly cracked Banagher so bad. That one brief second of hope was destroyed and overcome by reality. Sometimes a heartfelt speech and the encouragement of the souls of others can't even help but scratch the surface of what's going on-- something that's been rolling on for so many years, and claimed so many lives. Holy crap I love the ED song; it suits the mood perfectly. Well, I guess there was a lot of dialogue and info, and not as "actiony" as the last 2 OVAs, but I think it was worth it. Banagher is someone that quite literally fights for what he believes in to the very end. Regardless, this was an overwhelmingly strong performance again and of course the damned thing looks as spectacular as always. 9/10

the EF's politics, how they treated spacenoids, etc. once again, i'm not saying the Principality of Zeon is justified in any way, it was there and it acted, although in a very, very bad way |

And that's not even Char, he's a "Char". So maybe Char would have chosen some other way to fight the federation. Maybe he wouldn't even have bothered with the box, knowing so well that a box won't matter to a bunch of feddies even if all the space colonies rebel. |
