Ayana Taketatsu as Erika
Kana Hanazawa as Dlanor ...okay, only because they are fresh in my head from OreImo. Megumi Ogata would make an interesting Lion if you consider some of her male, female, and androgynous roles over the years (though I agree Maaya would be cool) and has even been active again recently (such as in Angel Beats, let alone EvangeLION...). Edit: LOL, AuraTwilight suggested Ogata while I was putting this together. Well, count this as another vote then.

Ohh, Mika Kanai wouldn't be bad either. The return of the Trap Master! I could, from a different angle, see Satomi Arai play her in full-on Kuroko mode, lol.

Following the murder mystery episodes of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, I can't unhear it. I mean, if she does play Erika, it would be awesome because Tomokazu Sugita and Daisuke Ono are involved too.

To be honest, I don't mind how the anime turned out. I can see that, on its own, it's a good watch. If it weren't for the mystery to keep people formulating theories, Umineko just wouldn't be Umineko. For that, I can honestly say that the anime doesn't deserve to end on the note it's currently on. Since it's been started, it had might as well be finished.
People can't just easily transition from the end of the anime season directly into the beginning of EP5 of the visual novel. They instead have to read the visual novel from EP1, and that may reduce their overall opinion of the anime, thus decreasing demand for a second season. Fans who may never be able to get their hands on the visual novel (regardless of how easy or hard it is to do) would then be cheated out of reaching the heart of the mystery they're trying to understand. Regardless of how its sales look or who is in charge of making it, the anime deserves to be finished. It's not supposed to end at EP4.

Like how my motivation for watching the first Umineko season was for a few 2 minute long Jessikano scenes, my motivation for watching (or entertaining the idea of) a Chiru adaptation would be for some parts of EP6 and all of EP7. And maybe for Dlanor.
Lion, Clair, and Will plz. <3

I don't know which umineko-anime thread to put this in, but this has shown up recently...
Spoiler for Huge size. Center row one from the bottom:
Imean, I got giddy for the 5 seconds it took to find no connection between UFOtable and Umineko. It's way too early for a spring season lineup, so It could be nothing more than a troll pic...but what if it weren't? |
