Position(s): Translators, GOOD editors, karaoke effect doers
Group: With the Will Project(s): Digimon Savers (and if a translator wants a good group to do something, we can do something else) IRC: #WtW-Recruits on Rizon Site: http://withthewill.net Translators The translator that did most of Savers just suddenly... quit on us. Quite sad, as she was really good. However, since we have two other translators... and one is uber busy, and one is in China... we lack someone to translate episodes 16+. Also, if there is someone out there that is interested in doing a project that isn't already being done by a group, and wants a good group to do it... let us know. We might be interested in helping you out there. Editors We had a good editing team, then the "Main" editor scared them all off. He requires "Proffessional" editing, and likes to really get into the meat of a script. People applying for this job should know that we want the subs to really sound good, and that's your job to do so. Karaoke Effects Come on, who doesn't want cool karaoke? As the person that did the ones for Savers has practically left the group, we could use another for a revamp of stuff. You don't even need to karatime them, just add the cool effects. ^_^ |

Positions: Translator, Editor, Timer
Group: Yoroshiku Fansubs Project: Tactical Roar (for the time being) IRC Channel: #Yoroshiku @ irc.rizon.net IRC Contact: Grv E-Mail: yoroshikufansubs@yahoo.com To explain the situation, our translator (AngelEngine) returned after a 3 month stint away, but upon his return also seemed to be enveloped in to an additional 3 or 4 groups. Obviously this is putting pressure on his time. What I am looking for is a support translator on Tactical Roar, we have (very) rough scripts for TR episodes 04-08, and intend to release the lot from DVD ISO raws (including re-releasing episodes 01-03). It's not necessarily a permanent fixture, we just need some support from a kind hearted translator. I had already got PerlFu to agree to this role but he seems to still be unreachable upon his return from Japan this summer. I hope to hear from someone soon :x

If anyone needs someone to edit (and time) the Kanon remake when it's released, I'd love to work on it. I don't think any of the groups I'm currently working for (or should that be contracted to? ) are in the mood for Kanon unfortunately...

Interested in joining an anime fansubbing group with a history that dates back to early 2003? We currently have 3 positions available for our group. The successful candidate will have watched anime in the past and excel at what they do. If you enjoy a fast paced, fun fansub environment, join Anime-Otakus!

orz is in need of a translator
orz fansubs is looking for a translator to help finish up our current project (and maybe help with future projects)
Our project is Kamisama Kazoku and we have 9 out of 13 episodes translated at this point. Please join #orz or #orz-spare on irc.rizon.net if you are interested in helping. Please remember that this may be a short term deal but there is a chance it may last longer. |

New group forming -- recruiting!
(I probably should have used my reply to the one guy's above post as an opportunity for this, but...)
Recruiting for a new group, Sprocket Hole Subs. The name comes from where one digital film sound format, AC3 (known by its trademark "Dolby Digital"), resides on 35mm prints, between the sprocket holes on the soundtrack side of the film stock. No, we won't be using 35mm film as raw or output formats, but we WILL be using AC3 for sound rather than MP3. First major project will be the remake of Kanon. Positions needed: --Raw provider --Translator --Editor --Timer --Typesetter --Karaoke --Encoder (need only worry about video; I will do all sound work; XviD needed; H.264 would also be nice). Contact info: E-mail: sprockethole (at) gmail (dot) com Channel: #sprocket-hole@irc.rizon.net (on as "IJ" or "IJ--") Website: TBD Look forward to hearing from you soon! --Ian. |
