Jacqueline has been mentioned in the previous episode. From what I could remember, she is considered by Superintendent-General Signore to be Grevil's fiancee (or something like that); the topic about Jacqueline caused Grevil to help Kazuya (he seems to not want to open the topic about Jacqueline.

This turned out to be a rather run-of-the-mill mystery. In fact, there wasn't even a mystery in this arc. Everything was exactly as it appeared.

Am I dreaming? Grevil was actually useful in this episode. He easily subdued that kung-fu woman. Ok, he took her by surprise, but still, he looked pretty badass for a moment. And I assume it's thanks to him Jacqueline took the kid under her wing. If it hadn't been for Victorique's flashback, I would have started to like him.

So, Victorique is the one who forced him to sport that ridiculous hairstyle. No wonder he's so reluctant to ask for her help

I can't believe they're treating the fact that it was a real diamond as an actual revelation. I mean, come on. The finger pointing and the Battle lady was a bit much but it was otherwise okay.

I thought so, but Grevil's wink does make it pretty suspect. Sadly, at this point I wouldn't put it past Kujo to behave that way...

Can't believe Kujo didn't remember until he saw him. So i'm guessing Cordelia was in the chest. Funny how she had a cold like Victorique. Also funny how like mother like daughter in that Victorique likes to hid in chest as well. So Grevil's hairstyle is a consequence of asking Victorique for help. Jacqueline seems to be a more interesting character. Maybe we'll get more info on her next ep along with Grevil's original hairstyle. What was with the dream the Victorique had? Like how Kujo got a glass slipper for her as in a reference to Cinderella. Liked how she used it to hold her pipe. __________________ My Anime List

Gosick happens in 1924 and the girl called herself Anastasia and acknowledged to be Russian, thus drawing the reference. In addition, the crown they found later bore the crest of the Romanov family. Saturn Beaver Home of Silent Prayer Join Date: Mar 2010	Spoiler for Ep 10: So, episode 10. The mystery itself is fine, but I'm still a bit confused with the way they solve it. The whole glowing handprint thing, with the reason they know which room the children are kept is because that window doesn't have a handprint, is quite a neat idea. And yet, if I remember correctly, the windows to its immediate left and right have them, so why can't the police reach there if they're already so close to it? It makes sense if there's a secret pathway or something, so they can search the immediate surroundings to find one, but as I recall Kujo immediately found the room, and it's not concealed or guarded in any way. Did I miss something here? Well, beside that, the episode wasn't too bad. Kujo is even pretty active this time around (although, he gets really unbearably whiny when she talked about Victorique with the street kid. Dude, I'll trade places with you, any time of the day). And the part where he throws the tantrum at the end must be staged, right? I mean, he already got the plan to bust them already...The greatest highlight of the episode for me is the possible revelation that Grevil's hair is due to Victorique, as well as her dream...it seems this will be revealed further next ep, I can't wait. __________________
