Madoka is the most idealistic and most realistic member of the group.

Look at her when she talked to her mom as the most noticeable example. She knows there is something wrong with the path everyone is taking. That's hard core reality there. There's no idealism there because it is what it is.

Eh, idealism means you are capable of putting your principles on the line, to stand up and fight for what you believe in. Madoka clearly isn't that, yet. Her talk with her mother is mostly because she doesn't know what to do; her idealism should have the answer for her, but it doesn't.

What will Madoka do now? Hitomi mentioned that she should stay the way she is if she truly treasures her friends and family. Well, most of Madoka's friends/companions are now magical girls and I'm not sure her family is going to stay alive much longer if this story keeps going downhill in terms of tragedy.

I wonder what choice she will make if the only treasured companions she has left in this world are all magical girls?

I still think Madoka is not just Madoka or some gifted girl.

She's not special because she is special or because the plot wants her to be. She's special because something happened.

She could be a wish-created person. The premium witch who was turn into a human. The first mahou shoujo. The soul of Q-B. She's too pure, too kind for this show.
I don't see hope when i think of her.
I think that...

It's a trap !

Homura told her that she doesn't have to always sacrifice herself. But maybe she's bound to a terrible fate because the natural balance reclaim the culprit to pay the price, whatever could have turn "it" to a cute girl.
That's it, i'm over-reacting. You're losing me ! My head is burning...

Well, if you notice, Madoka's soul gem is teardrop shaped, which is fairly similar to the mark on Kyube's back. It would make some sense if Kyube was spawned somehow by Madoka.

The other theory I had as to why Madoka has so much power, is because another Madoka sacrificed herself and somehow sent her power to the Madoka we know. Perhaps several times. Other than my VR theory, it is the only explanation I can come up with.

The other Madoka on the opening, who seems older (but not that much, just with longer hair) let me perplex. I can't find a meaning in this scene, other that your theory. It's her future self empowering the present Madoka.

Excuse me, dumping opinions.

Madoka is portrayed as having an immense inferiority complex. However, it is said that she has so much potential, and even called godlike. Suppose she does become MG, will she succumb to the new feeling of superiority and have superiority complex instead?

it'd be spectacular to see Madoka turn into an MG. xD Ah, finally...this might get a good or bad result though..

That could be her "dark-side".

I saw Madoka crying in all episodes but ep1 and ep2.
Spoiler:

I have never seen any other characters who cry more frequently than her.

IMHO because she's staggering under the traumatic burden of watching people very close to her suffer, or even die.

Which is why I think she's too susceptible to Kyubey's words. I mean, Madoka has now seen three people die of whom she thought were her friends. Yet, I wouldn't be surprised at all if our little alien furball manages to reel her in and contract her after all she's seen and came to know about being a Magical Girl, just because she can't handle the pressure he's putting on her and doesn't want to see Homura kick the bucket for her sake.

Sometimes as I watched, I found myself whispering at the screen, telling her not to give in, not to run away, and not to die on me.

Any more of this, and she could be waking up inside an asylum.

Would you rather fight, die, and have a powerful witch cause massive destruction?
Would you rather defeat this witch, and become this witch that causes even more massive destruction?
Or would you rather watch everyone around you die while you can't do anything?

Shit sucks. >.> Now I really wonder what she will do.

i was impressed at how madoka's character was handled each iteration. I grew to really admire her with this episode alone, making me see her in a better light. How she kept on sacrificing herself moved me deeply. T_T She was such a pure-hearted girl.

Ah~, I liked Madoka from the start. She seemed like the smarter girl who didn't take the QB contract, now I find out she was the better mahou shoujo (not just in terms of power) in the previous timelines. How nice Sure she cries all the time but better that than ending like Sayaka, or getting incredibly freaked out like Mami.

(Offtopic because it's for other characters but I found the whole Mami freaking out rather out of character, I also found Sayaka's attitude towards Homura slightly out of character but then Sayaka is the one who usually goes into witch mode first so maybe she just isn't that nice a person to begin with).

Heh, yea, it's ironic she's the one that handled the situation the best.

A little crying there about the loss of all her friends, but was still able to pull it together and fight the Walpurgis with Homura only to suffer the same fate. This makes me like Madoka even more, especially with seeing a new side of her before Homura's influence came in.
