And what If I want to make animated gifs with the screenshots ive taken is there away to press it fast enough to turn them into a gif. I know that on power dvd if you press C it takes a shot and you can keep pressing it to make a decent gif but powerdvd cant play .avi atleast mine cant -_-

And can you take screenshots on WINAMP?

Yeah, my BSPlayer doesn't take screens properly either, I just use VirtualDub, load up the .avi [use VirtualDubMOD for .mkv/.ogm], find the scene and press 'print-screen' and paste in paint, works 100% of the time for me ^^

use vdub to split it into frame by frame for the animated gifs
you can also save the bit you want into an avi and have ulead gif-ize the avi

Animation Shop from Jasc software can load in .AVI files. Then you can crop or scale or frame decimate them and save them as animated GIFs. It's very easy to use and has a free 30-day trial period.

In MPC you can just go to File->Save Image.

(It doesn't work if you're using the Overlay Mixer.)

Been wondering that, myself. Even with PSP8.1, the screenshot becomes somehow related to the video CURRENTLY playing. Meaning: if you 'Print Screen' and then quit the video, it will show black, but if you jus pause the video, it's showing the current state too (in the shot).

Copy protection, perhaps...?

You have overlay on. Turn it off in your windows media player options or just use crtl-i to take a shot in the program.
