This episode went in a totally different direction than I was expecting. I expected Izumi to learn about Ryouma's goodbye kisses and for their relationship to take another dip as a result. I still expect that to happen sometime. I just thought it would happen this week.

Unlike last week, Ryouma gets an A+ for self-control this time around.

For some reason I also remember that editor being a bit more harsh in the manga. Now I need to re-read that part.

I liked how they played the episode as if it was a behind the scenes documentary. It allowed them to add in some of the extra chapters. Like Rei's past as a thug, Rei and Shougo spoiling Izumi, and Izumi's and Ryouma's taxi ride back to Izumi's house.

Ryouma's always finding excuses to kiss Izumi.

Yes, a good episode. I can understand why so few people are interested in this show, if only because it's shounen ai, but I'm enjoying most episodes, and the romance is working for me. Izumi is cute and Ryouma is strong, kind, and romantic. Nothing's very deeply drawn, but it's still enjoyable.

I may have read more than intended into an early scene from episode 1 or 2, but I got the feeling that Rei and Shougo had a sexual relationship some time in the past. I remember a scene where Shougo drapes himself around Rei and asks him something like "Want to give it another go?" Rei responds with a rather chilly "No." And of course, there's the implications of the ED where Rei and Shougo are always shown together. Between the two, I wasn't the least bit surprised when Rei expressed his support for Izumi.

I suspect if they're going to do Rei/Shougo they'd do that as a set of extras on the DVD/Bluray release or perhaps an OVA?

I wouldn't be surprised if the other otaku guy who went looking for Izumi turns out to be good at martial arts and comes to Izumi's rescue.

Ryouma was totally overreacting about the e-mail block LOL Izumi won't be able to get rid of him... ever! Ryouma is practically stalking him. Damn, that guy really is a piece of work. It was fun watching Ryouma's shocked face over the art. Those two really do exist only in their own worlds.. Izumi actually invited Royuma to help out, a shocker... not. Still, it's interesting how casually he invited him to his room. In the end Ryouma seems to have more art talent than Izumi. Looks like he got into some other trouble on his day off. Well, he was relieved when he saw it was about manga. Those paparazzi pics with Izumi got Ryouma into trouble. Sagara cooked up something with Ryouma's President. Now poor Izumi needs to make a debut.. It was about time someone told him how much his drawing sucks. His depression was to be expected.. I was kinda surprised he went directly to Ryouma's place. Guess he felt like not going home. The bathroom part was sweet, LOL & total nosebleed material ^^ Izumi sure was acting strange.. totally not like his usual self. Was surprised to see Izumi confused & disappointed about Ryouma backing off. Guess he does like him after all.. This anime sure is making nice progress. Izumi's Lala-Lulu dreams are amusing. Rei was seriously worried about Izumi. Ryouma took that extra step for Izumi's manga just to cheer him up. Sweet! That sure boosted his confidence ^^ It was nice to see Ryouma got acknowledged by Izumi, but their relationship still has a long way to go. #8 Spoiler for plot: Izumi makes a debut. Looks like he has feelings for Ryouma.. It was fun watching him freak over over his feelings. Short summary of his life so far was nice. Shougo & Sagara totally spoiled Izumi ^^ This part totally felt like some kind of documentary about Izumi's life. Part about Sagara's past was interesting info. The cat is out of the bag & there is no choice but to go public. Ryouma's calming technique for Izumi was a good one ^^ That debut was a smart one. Things should calm down a bit for Ryouma after that.
