Yet another rather lame villain, and quite a few things that are really puzzling, to put it lightly.

1. Unlike the manga, Minamoto and Aoi just comply with the jets. Okay, fine, I can live with that if manage to make it interesting, but...
2. Another ECCM? And a tiny and portable one at that? ECM and ECCM aren't used all that often in the manga, but now that Minamoto has one with him all the time, it'll be hard to explain how he'd ever get caught off guard if they do come against an ECM in the future.

   The Children have only come up against ECM one more time iirc, so far though... other than ESP locks.
3. Why the heck didn't Aoi just teleport to safety away from the missiles? She did it at the end there. What happened to being able to outrun anyone on Earth? <_<

5. I really hope they start moving on to the plot. There were some sneak previews on the DVD included with the LE vol.13 manga. And it looked pretty darn good .

I agree...that scene was probably the most frustrating to watch for me as the answer was so simple and clear it should have slapped Aoi across the face. Rather than wasting energy dodging she could have either did what she did or just teleported the missiles into the plane...really smart -___-

But other than that it was an average episode. The ECMs are really being milked for their moneys worth...and when does the ECCCM come in

Though I do feel sorry for Aoi because she is supposidly the less actively called upon compared to her team mates. I know how that feels >_<
It was a really funny scene when she nut crushes the bad guy too

I have seen up to EP11 but never looked into the manga, which is way better when I read some of the comments here. So far I find the anime highly enjoying.

Would you recommend to just read the manga up to the newest volume and then catch up with the anime, watching the anime and follow the story with the manga (as in the manga there are several parts more included) or maybe something else?

I wouldn't say the manga is "way better", but I do prefer it over the anime personally. The anime has been a pretty close adaptation of the manga chapters it follows for the most part and improves on the manga at times, but it also adds in some pointless junk (like in ep12), and makes everything a bit more family friendly. The manga has a couple of slightly more violent moments later, and I wonder how it'll be modified in the anime . The anime has also (so far) skipped the major plotline of the story, which was in the first volume of the manga.

Anyway, 7 more chaps of the manga are translated, awaiting editing. Always looking for more editors to help out.

What's this? Kaoru's mother and sister?

For some reason I was expecting the children to be orphans but it turns out they might all have families (though we don't know about Shiho yet...).

But this episode was about Kaoru's family or lack of family bonds.
Nice development episode overall.

And again, Minamoto gets tortured for things not his fault
How does having a washing machine dropped on you feel? ^^

One thing I didn't like though was how stereotypical once again they make otakus look though I guess that can't be helped much
